Zoe had a lucky escape
Can't believe Jim didn't take her into the boardroom. She came up with that crap name!!
Really can't stand her, hope she goes soon. |

I'm not a Zoe fan, but I think she actually did quite good on this task.

Jim knew exactly what he was doing by not bringing in Zoe...

I get the impression she was half joking when she suggested the name, but Jim then ran with it and worked his mind tricks on everyone.
But she was spot on with the whole 60 is the new 30 concept and making Hip Replacement ironic. And she did complain to Jim when he ruined the whole concept and turned it into the front page of a Saga Insurance pamphlet. She definitely didn't deserve to go. Jim did. |

I was surprised she wasn't taken in given that she came up with one of the 2 key errors of the task - the name. That said her involvement in the task probably saved her and having found her behaviour disgracefully childish in the last 2 tasks I actually found myself wanting her to stay this week so she must have done something right.

There's no way she should have been fired for coming up with the name - it was part of a brainstorm and Jim's the one who decided to run with it.
She should have gone last week, though... |

I thought Zoe performed the best on their team, she come up with a decent(ish) idea which was obliterated by Jim. Jim made the right decision on who to bring into the boardroom... he knew that Zoe couldn't be held accountable for the cover and the pitches, therefore no blame could really be attributed to her.

They were completely out of touch with the age group they were targeting and incredibly patronising. I was cringing throughout.

She was spot on this week and Jim should have listened to her. I also think she wasn't being deadly serious with Hip Replacement just like she wasn't with Coffin Dodger.

Totally agree, Jim should have taken Zoe in, especially as the main thing that the investors disliked was the name!

My thoughts exactly. Why is everyone forgetting that Jim was the one who came up with a crap name 2 weeks ago, and after initially taking credit when he thought praise was going to be forthcoming, then turned round and, just as Zoe did this week, go on to say that it was just part of a brainstorming session?
As for the name, I thought it was slightly crap and I did think Zoe was taking the p*** when she mentioned it. I thought she meant it as a joke like the coffin doger name but somehow turned it around to make it become a play on meaning instead that Jim somehow bought? (will need to watch the episode again to know if I've remember this correctly or not). The complete cynic in me thinks that perhaps Jim knew it was a crap name too but only accepted it so that he could potentially have something to pin on Zoe if they lost the task and if the others had ended up to perform better than her. However it became apparent in the boardroom that Susie was going to be the first person on his list (by default) and that Glen would get called out for the boardroom fluff. Zoe probably deserved to escape this time on her overall performance but, if I was over 60, I woudn't ever buy a magzine that has Hip Replacement as the title (unless I actually needed one and was looking for advice on the procedure and what not). I doubt I'd get the play on words immediately just on first glance. |

I thought she was actually the best on her team. If she'd had control over the magazine image I think it would have gone down a lot better.

Hopefully now that Glenn has gone we will see a shake up and Susan no longer having to be on the same team as Zoe. And why was Jim so up Zoe's behind in that task? He couldn't get enough of her it seemed. |

You may also note that he didn't take Zoe into the boardroom this week for coming up with the name, he instead took in the two who did nothing. So there was no hypocrisy on his part. |

For all I was ready to burn Zoe in effigy last week, at this task she did her job OK. Granted the name was awful, but Jim was the PM, so HE, not Zoe, is responsible for it.
As for the god awful cover, Jim lied about the photos, as we saw the action type shots being taken in the studio, and he told porkies about Zoe agreeing about the font. So Zoe had a lucky escape?. Not this week she didnt. |

That's only half true. They would have gone for the name had it been conceptualised in the way Zoe intended. Like the woman on You're Fired said, it was a clever idea, but it was badly executed, and that was Jim's fault.

This is what I found so strange. Don't they know anyone over 60 in their own families? I mean presumably Jim's parents must be around that age or only a bit less if he's in his early 30s. They were talking to those people in the focus group as if they were about 90 when they were far younger; plus 60 and thereabouts isn't even that old these days. I'm sure one of the candidates also made some kind of comment about nearly being dead at 60. I need to watch it back so can't be sure of who it was or exactly what was said. But I just found them so ignorant on this task!
