I'd far rather have a nice cat on my bed than a stinky old man.

Me and my OH sleep in different rooms now because of our animals. We had us, 2 big dogs and 2 cats all vying for space in the bed. I got sick of the back ache from scrunching up in to a tiny ball, and the snoring. I went in the spare room one night out of desperation 18 months ago and have been there ever since!

I still have my cats sleeping with me, and ocassionally one dog, but at least I have some room.

After being practically pushed out of bed by my 3 last night, I remembered this thread...

3 in a bed

I had to squeeze in down the middle.

We're quite lucky, ours tend to pile up in the corner leaving us some space.

You should get your OH to wash his "stinky old man" more often.

Our kittens arn't too bothered about our bed it seems but I do sometimes wake up to Mia on my pillow nose to nose with me! She's only 12 weeks bless her I'm not sure what will happen when she gets bigger I suppose I'll just have to give up my pillow...?

I can't get a photo of all 3 on a bed at the same time I think they like to have space to stretch out. May be different when the weather gets colder.

I know, every day he seems bigger. Your cats look happy and well settled with you. So nice to see them enjoying life after their sad beginnings.

Jim_uk, your two look like they are cuddling each other, very sweet. And Bex, you're right, you'll have to give up your pillow, lol.

Aww they're all gorgeous!

Well my Flo outdid herself last night. She always does her "WAKE UP NOW" miaowing around 4am, but this morning I was woken by her "talking" - very vocal and expressive she was. My husband mumbled "shut up Flo I'm trying to sleep", to no avail, so he opened his eyes, only to see a large dead mouse plonked on top of his chest. Aww she was so proud of herself!

It was hilarious (well I thought so anyway)!. He threw the mouse out of the window, got back into bed and just as he was dozing off, he suddenly jumped up shouting "something just bit my foot" - yep, Flo again, this time attacking his toes which he'd left sticking out of the bottom of the bed.

We're going to have to lock the catflap tonight.....

My Bernard has been known to attack the toes of my guests sleeping in the spare room. My mum always shuts the door now when she stays with me - I think he hurt her (though he was only playing).

I would scream if any of my cats dropped a dead mouse on my chest Tabitha always used to leave them by the door if they were dead. They'd run under the bed if they were alive.

My daft OH has spent the odd night on the sofa as Amber had been so settled on his side of the bed he didn't want to wake her

Oh, how pretty!

Last night, one of them kneaded my arm for a while and then went to sleep curled into the small of my back, which was fine, but then the other decided to tuck herself into the space between my chin and my shoulder - bum first, naturally, swatting my face with her tail in happiness til she fell asleep. Not the most comfortable sleep I've had. Lucky, they both decide to cuirl up together at my feet at some point during the night.

Aww she looks so snuggly.

I always get "help" from my cats when I try to make the bed. And as for changing the duvet cover... no chance unless I shut them out the bedroom.

We used to have a ginger Tom cat named Garfield. He was not really a one for cuddling and was known to give a few nips and scratches when he did not get his own way.
He used to enjoy terroising my brother the most though. He tended to make interesting squealing noises when his toes were stalked under the bed covers.

I walked past my brothers room one evening to see my brother watching his tv, sitting on his dressing gown on the floor. When I asked him why he was sitting there, he pointed to a very smug cat who was curled up on his bed and said that there was no way he was gonna move him! Apparently it was a frequent thing for my brother to take the foor while my cat chilled on the bed!
