I find Ed's Easy Diner who have three or four branches around Soho to consistently serve good burgers. And they're reasonably priced and cooked straight to order. Can actually get sat down and served in there just as quickly as it can take to get served in a busy McDonalds sometimes.

I tend to agree!

Best burger I've ever purchased from a chain was from Wendy's. Unfortunately the one in Belfast closed a few years back so I have to wait until I'm in the US before I can have one. At least there I can have root beer with my meal, though ”

The veggie burgers in Wendy's were lovely! Haven't had one in about 10 years though.

I can safely say that I have never in my life eaten a veggie burger. I'd imagine, though, that if they are anywhere near the standard of their beef burgers then they'll be divine.

Many veggie burgers that you get from fast food places are clearly just Tesco ones with a bit of sauce or whatever on top. I can't remember why their veggie burger was so nice, but it was delicious. I'm from Northern Ireland too, so I feel your pain!

I had a particularly delicious burger from Schwarz Bros takeaway opposite the Theatre Royal in Bath recently.

The best burger place I know for veggies is Blas Burgerworks in St Ives. Apparently it's pretty good for meat-eaters too.

I'm a simple man, I LOVE an XL Bacon Double Cheese from Burger King (stick 3 onion rings on it too), amazing!

On the meatier side of it, I do love Hard Rock Cafe burgers, had a quasidella burger from Sports Bar in Edinburgh once, it was alright but very messy.

That is a good burger. Never tried the onion rings but will now. Problem with BK is (in the south/London/motorways) they want about £8 for the meal deal now!

I love the XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger. I always think it could do with a sauce inside though, and maybe a little bit of salad.

Isn't that the Rodeo burger? I find all BK burgers apart from the Whopper far too dry.

The bestest burgers are cooked by my OH Splinter-Z, they are sooo huge you can't get your gnashers round them, but they are GORGEOUS. Always a fresh good quality burger with monterey jack, bacon, onions, tomato and lettuce with relishes and burger ketchup!!!

I went to a show at Earls Court today, took a wander for lunch and thanks to this thread remembered what Byrons was when we walked passed one.

I enjoyed it, although wouldn't say it blew me away. They didn't so much ask how I wanted it cooked, although they did state all burgers are cooked medium and is that OK. I asked for it a touch under medium so it was still pink and moist and they were happy to do so.

When McDonalds first opened over here their burgers were lovely; juicy and meaty. Now I find it's very hit and miss with their stores. Burger King have far tastier meat and their fries are tasty too.

At home I like Birds Eye original quarter pounders, the other sort are too full of pepper.
