I liked the concept of the over 60s magazine better than the lads magazine. The lads mag has been done to death in my opinion. One feature they did was how to make £1,000 in a day, I hate that type of feature. Everytime I have read one of these sort of features on the net, theres about a list of 10 items and about 6 don't apply to me! (Sort of like, cancel your gym membership etc, (I'm not a member of a gym anyway!))

New Codger

Play on the 'old codger' moniker and suits the image of 60 being the new 30.
How's about 'old todger' very apt title I would think, going from personal experience!

Reading Aid

OAPaper

Countdown

Will Young (going with the Evergreen theme, though 'Still Young' probably makes a less jokey title)

Togs Reunited

Stairlift to Heaven

Old Parts
Be serious, people are going to fork out folding money to buy this mag, so nothing less than the following title will be good enough:

The Last Read before the Last Rites

I finally tumbled why Hip Replacement is not best -- it is not accurate. The title should be:

Spare Parts Transplant Monthly

Hard to be serious when they're such plonkers but...

The new 30. New 30.

Not blisteringly good but not embarrassing. And it would have tied in with the focus group. But then it would have been no blahddy fun...

I don't know why the title has to be age related at all.

An odd title for a magazine aimed at the over 60s
That's the beauty of it. 60-year-olds would buy it because they felt 50. A bit like "Just 17" is bought by 13-year-olds.

Wouldn't appeal to women and women have the longer life expectancy.

it was useless Jim. Zoe said he was losing the irony in the title in the way he designed it

The best title was suggested by the guy at the bowling club. Zimmer - I nearly fell off my chair laughing at that one, brilliant!
I know, I don;t know why they didn't use it.
Couldn't have been any worse than 'Hip Replacement' for repelling their over-sixties target group. I think the bloke in the bowls club was cracking a joke and not taking the focus group thing that seriously. If I was invited to a focus group with The Apprentice contestants I'd send up the whole thing too.
