it was useless Jim. Zoe said he was losing the irony in the title in the way he designed it
The magazine should have been named "The slow march towards death made less unbearable" I'll take my holiday with Nick please

Hip Replacement may have sufficed given a modern font and a front cover showing oldies with an energy for life.
There can't be many who think Times Roman is trendy or a couple clinging to each other for life support echoes today's over 60's.

The funniest thing was it all applied to Lord Sugar and he was not laughing.

They are really bad with ideas and titles, a bit of common sense wouldnt go amiss.
They talk the talk and come up with Hip Replacement, facile, condescending and unaware of their target market. |

I dont think I would have given it a name that had any relation to age at all. A lot of people over 60 don't feel that age so would not want a magazine that screams that out.

"Get Off My Lawn".
On a more serious note, I'd consider "Ageing Disgracefully". I could see myself buying that in due course. |

A rolling stone gathers no moss.
So mine would be 'Gather no moss" or something cheesy along those lines. |

I'm still shocked by the name they gave it
![]() I sat there thinking "This must be a wind up". Why no-one stepped in and gave it a normal name like "Enjoy" is beyond me. The best candidates? The future business stars of tomorrow?! My arse |

I still can't quite get over Susan's shocking ageism in the taxi on the way to the focus group, wondering what they were going to ask them. Her "what do you DO?" was delivered in the tone of one who cannot quite believe that someone as ancient as 60 doesn't just top themselves.
I'm surprised she didn't suggest "Dignitas" as a title. Maybe she thought about it and decided it just wasn't patronising enough. |

Let's not forget Glen's patronising comments about whether the over 60s have a sense of humour, or if such frivolity would go right over their heads.

Didn't one of them mention 360? I'm sure it got tossed in the pile of names better than Hip Replacement.

I would have used the picture of the couple on the bike and called it 'FreeWheeling'. They've climbed the hill of mortgages and child rearing and careers and can now relax and enjoy themselves. (At least I hope that is what being 60+ will be like.)
