I missed Luther when it went out on BBC1 last week but noticed it was being shown again later on BBC HD (channel 109) and recorded it. When I played it back it had a lady talking over the top of what was going on - obviously a feature for the visually impaired. It made it unwatchable for me however as I couldn't concentrate. It didn't say anywhere on the listings that it had running commentary? When I did go to play it back from the 'media' function on my pvr there was the usual symbols alongside, one of which was ENC? I have no clue what it symbolises but maybe this could be to advise you the program is for the visually impaired? Can anyone advise? I would hate to go on recording programs only for them to have someone talking over it - no matter how nice a speaking voice the lady has!
