There's nothing wrong with the phone per se, but there will likely be a new iPhone in a couple of months, meaning that you'll be on 2 year old technology. It's also likely that when Apple release iOS 5, the 3GS won't get all of the iOS features, so you'll be left behind a bit.

If you're not fussed about the latest and greatest phone, then you'll probably enjoy it.

Going off beta 1 3GS does get quite a bit of iOS5 especially compared to the 3G and iOS4. This is obviously subject to change.

Otherwise, I do agree with grumpyoldbat in that the phone will probably be looking quite outdated in a few months and there is a fair chance that the iPhone 4 will then be available at the 3GS' pricepoint

thanks for your views. might wait awhile. the monthly price is just a little more than i pay on o2 simplicity. but i suppose being stuck with a 2 year contract is a bit to long for me. i do swap phones about every 6 to 12 months. regards popp
