I'm sure that was very interesting for you all...............
*big wave to Sylae and it's great to hear you will be back soon*.

So, sorry for all the negativity last night, I guess I need to learn to be patient for a bit longer, to see deeper inside Syed's head. I usually manage to lower my expectations and be open minded, but I think last night I had definitely slipped into a more expectant mode, and had assumed things would play out a certain way, but they didn't.
I am quite glad they did take a few low blows at each other - pretty realistic.
congrats on new thread! and congrats MadWorld on OP!
) They wanted to go to another shop but I'm now really tired so decided to come home
but we were caught up in a massive rain/hail storm - wasn't fun!

"Why are you back?! I banished you!"

so maybe it is all more about losing his family over it.

And of course he is experiencing the being cut off and excluded thing, yes. And indeed, he may only have a fleeting moment of sympathy, we do know from another spoiler that he is enraged when he see's Christian has been invited so that isn't going to put him in a good mood with him!
Am picturing you shouting at your newspaper.

I felt exactly the same way, it was like "what was the point of that?". It made me think of a line from the short story of Brokeback Mountain, after Ennis and Jack have a blazing argument and then Ennis drives away leaving "nothing ended, nothing begun, nothing resolved". So initially I was very disappointed with it. I loved the row in itself, but it didn't seem to serve any real purpose in the greater scheme of things. But having watched it a couple of times just now, I'm happy to just enjoy it for what it was. Christian was way too harsh on Syed with the comment about being a "one man woman" but he was just as harsh on himself too, which is natural and understandable given that, as he admitted himself, it wasn't about Syed possibly cheating, it was about Christian's insecurities. And I loved that Syed got that. He could have carried on and let it escalate but he knew where Christian's anger and upset was coming from and he sat down and took his hand and reassured him. That scene of them touching their foreheads together was beautiful

so maybe it is all more about losing his family over it.
