Last night after working in the shop all day they came home and had their dinner. Then followed two hours of jewellery making and one hour of tracking sales on ebay and parcelling up. Both of them ..... that's a further 6 hours work.

Every week they watch The Apprentice and would love the opportunity being offered to these people. Some of whom are total muppets when it comes to business.

Ok, I'll be honest, I know nothing about IT and didn't understand your first bit. All I know is that her website looks nice and her products looks appealing. Please provide the link to your business website?

If you're saying that we shouldn't give credit to Susan's achievements because the very lucrative skin care industry she's chosen to be in is 'one big fraud' then there's just no point in debating this any more.

But I'm interested to know one thing. If Susan were to set up a company in IT, just as you, would you then be mildly impressed? Or is it just that Susan is the person that you hate which makes you refuse to accept anything she's done as a positive.

I feel that she could have excelled academically, helped her mum pay off her mortgage, buy her own investment property, start a business, get on the apprentice all at 21....and you still wouldn't be the slightest bit impressed..... oh wait...

Actually I don't have one. Its not required. However there is a 99% chance you've seen my work online. Ive worked on the websites for 4 high street retailers and have also worked on the National Lottery and BBC sites. And they are only the major ones.

Right now Im implementing new code for a retailer that is on every major high street in Britain because they are branching into a different area than they normally deal with.

No one needs to when anyone can pay for a web site designer to design a web site for them and look after it too.

1) Im not a web designer.
2) The very fact that you assume that everyone in IT has their own website only highlights your own lack of intelligence on the subject. I suggest you find out more about the IT industry so you dont make a fool of yourself again. (heres a free clue, just for you - MOST contractors do NOT have their own website).
3) Im willing to bet Im earning more from my one contract than Susan is earning from her entire business. I dont see her claiming to be jetting back and forth each week between European countries. But then if I was earning f.. all from a small online business then I wouldnt be able to afford to either.

You do seem to have swallowed a rather bitter pill today.

You may not like Susan but her achievement in life so far has to be admired. Just because you think you earn more or have a bettter business model shouldn't cheapen her efforts.

Plenty of 21 year olds out there couldn't string a coherent sentence together at an interview. I should know, I've met a few in my time.

My point exactly. You are not a risk-taking, creative entrepreneur. You just happen to do a technical job where you 'become' a ltd company for tax purposes. This is way, way easier that a creating a genuine business, which is what we were talking about.


Er, based on what you said your job requires you to travel to Germany, which you must do to fulfil your contract, otherwise it would be terminated. Suddenly you're portraying yourself as some jetsetter? Don't make me laugh.

Hmm, well Im based in Germany but am currently doing a contract here in the UK which requires me to work onsite 'most' of the time. Im not sure what about that is so hard to understand.

And the fact that I deal with code somehow precludes me from having any creative or entreprenuial spirit ...... haha .... err ok, I'll try and think up of some other cliche that can match yours.

I think the point was that although you feel free to criticise Susan for some (pretty irrelevant) technical transgressions in an area in which she does not claim any particular expertise, you yourself have nothing to show for the expertise that you claim. In other words, for all we know (and it would certainly be consistent with your other posting here) your claims may be nothing but hot air.

And, to be quite honest, given your almost pathologically disrespectful attitude to women in general and Susan in particular, and your utter desperation to belittle her at every opportunity, I have very little confidence that anything you say is based to any great extent in truth.

I'm always particularly suspicious of people who claim to be 'jetting' anywhere. It's decades since travelling short haul in a jet aircraft was in any way impressive and the fact that that fact doesn't seem to have impinged itself on your conciousness tells us a lot.

I think that sometimes, when somone attracts a lot of harsh criticism, people like me begin to reflect some of that back or reject it , and it appears as if I am an ardent fan.
I'm not a 'super fan' of Susan, but I do like her on the show and I dont think she does much wrong.
