Meanwhile, Claudette confronts Paul about his recent accusations about her and Les but will he listen to her warning?

Thursday 30th July

It's the day of the Cokers' centenary party but will Les heed Paul's advice when he begs him to tell Claudette to stay away?

Meanwhile, Pam arrives dressed to the nines. Can the day go to plan without any drama?

Friday 31st July

While one clan crumbles under the pressure of recent events, another family struggles to stay united as repercussions from the poilce investigation into Lucy's death continue to have an enormous effect on Walford...

COMING UP:

~ Phil is furious with Vincent when he makes some big changes at The Albert. Phil takes shocking revenge on him but has he made a massive mistake?

~ Denise is busy planning a birthday party for her daughter, Libby but what's she hiding?
James Bye talks to All About Soap:

'I honestly don't know if Stacey is going to be Mrs. Fowler. I hope so, I really want her to make a go of things with Martin because working with Lacey is incredible. So being purely selfish, I hope they manage to get it together!'

'I don't think I'm ever going to please everyone. I knew that when I took the job on but hopefully people will buy into the recast. In a way, I had it a bit easy as Martin was away a long time and he's grown up or not, as we're seeing when it comes to some things. I had a certain freedom as he was off the show for a long time. And those years he was away are quite an important time in someone's life. It was his mid to late 20's. when he was making decisions about how to bring up his daughter or how to treat his wife, or how to run his business. Things were happening off-screen and now he's back to pick up the pieces. It's been a challenge.'

'I didn't really want to look at what James (old Martin) did. No disrespect to him because he did a fantastic job but I wanted to go with the scripts and build Martin from there. I didn't want to be influenced by James' take on him although obviously I watched the show before. I like to think I'm doing the character my own way.'

'Never for one second did I think I'd be Martin Fowler. When I went up for the job, I thought it was a new character called Sam Jones. I think every actor my age went up for Sam Jones, even one of my mates did. I found out right at the last minute that he didn't exist. Just as I was about to walk into the room, Julia from the casting department said it was actually for a recast of Martin Fowler. I opened the door and there was Natalie Cassidy ready to do a screen test. Dom (EP) was sat there too and my heart was thumping!'

'It was a real privilege to be involved in the 30th anniversary celebrations of the show. It's so weird working here because there's genuinely no pressure. Everyone just wants you to be good and when everyone's rooting for you and willing you on, it's a boost. It's easy to just feel excited and get on and do it. I'll stay for as long as they'll have me. As long as they keep writing scripts, I'll keep turning up!'

He added, 'It's brilliant that they're Fowlers in Albert Square but it's a shame I'm the only one now. Maybe they'll bring some distant cousins back. There are lots of them out there somewhere! Perhaps they'll arrive in Albert Square one day....'

Harry Reid Interview with All About Soap

Continuing on from what DS have posted.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2...and-angry.html

Are you pleased to be playing Ben when they're bringing back his mum?

I couldn't believe it! I struck lucky there, didn't I? No one ever thought they'd bring Kathy back, I never thought they'd do it! Of course I didn't even know what that Vic scene was about. They said to imagine that the hairs have gone up on the back of my neck. I met Gillian at the live party in February. She's the perfect mum! To work with Gilly is a dream.

However before Kathy's back, Ben has Paul Coker to keep him busy, hasn't he?

Oh yes! He's great, Jonny is a very professional actor. He really thinks about Paul and Ben's relationship and we've been working on how we can progress it. When you have sexual contact with someone, it breaks a barrier and then there are little moments between you. We've filmed a scene in the funeral parlour where they're getting it on next to a corpse. It's hilarious! It's literally right next to the body! For some reason, they decide that's going to be their private time.

But what about Abi?

I'm guessing he's going to keep stringing her along for the time being. He's got her trust. The Mitchells have taken her in and Sharon loves her, they've almost got a mother/daughter thing going on there. Abi's a Mitchell in the making! She's got a dark, nasty side to her. It's going to be scary when she finds out what Ben's up to. She's the one he needs to worry about not Phil. Abi can bite! I wouldn't put it past her to take revenge, she's capable. I'll be unconscious in The Arches pit by Christmas!'
Thank-you for updating the thread and posting the interviews, dullagj2.
No problem Londongirl. I'll quote them so they don't get lost at the bottom of the last page.

I wonder if Chelsea will be back too.

Much as I hate Dean, would be interesting to see an encounter with Chelsea after so many years. They parted company on really messy terms and she was somewhat responsible for getting him locked up (she egged him on to frame Sean). Plus she left EE in such an abrupt way after she found out about Lucas.

Nothing like some simple respect for the dead eh Ben?

Personally the character of Paul leaves me cold - I do not see why everyone thinks he is so marvellous.

I'm personally very excited for more of Paul's and Ben's relationship. The snogging scene in the funeral parlour already sounds very intriguing.

We all know that Bobby Beale was the one who killed his sister, but another Albert Square resident is about to be stitched up

After months of speculation as to who killed Lucy Beale, the tension in Walford is about to boil over with the police intent on finding their man.

Little do they know the unwitting murderer was Bobby Beale, who clobbered his half-sister over the head with a music box in his PJs.

Last week, the scandalous arrest of Ben sent shockwaves through the Square, and now the residents are all understandably getting a bit twitchy as more truths come to light. And it looks as if some poor innocent soul is about to go down for Lucy’s murder.

Meanwhile, the aftermath of Ben’s arrest rumbles on as accusations fly between the Mitchells, Beales and Brannings. Then one resident starts to have doubts about their own account of what happened on that fateful day, forcing them to make a surprising decision.

Over at the Beale household, Ian and Jane are going to have to decide what to do now someone else is in the frame.

Will she come forward to the police with her story, or will she continue to cover for her little boy Bobby?

Of the other potential suspects, Max could be in big trouble as he doesn’t seem to have an alibi – not to mention that he once had a fling with Lucy, and her blood ended up on his shoe after he helped out when she had a scuffle with Jake.

Then there’s Abi, who admitted she “battered” her dad’s mistress on the night she died, returning home with a ripped top.

And don’t forget Denise had a massive catfight with Lucy that night, which Bobby heard, so he could end up pointing the finger at her.

And the mystery deepens when we see the lad walking up to the police station.

Rest assured, no one is safe from the eyes of the law.

And as this week draws to a close, prepare for a classic “doof doof” moment to leave you reeling...

On a more light-hearted note, Paul and Lola find out who has won the job at Blades.

Pam has told owner Dean that her grandson Paul’s heart is really with the family funeral business, so that might count against him.

Later in the week, Paul decides to give vent to his suspicions about Les and Claudette.

He tells Vincent that his mother is having an affair with his grandad.

Will Les’s secret life be exposed, or has Paul just got his wires crossed?

I don't think Sean should be revealed as Kat's son. It just kills any continuity he has with Jean and Stacey.

They should definitely bring Zoe back for a guest stint seeing as how she has a secret twin brother. If only Michelle Ryan agrees for a one off (or two) appearance.

I hope Queenie returns for the Babe story too.

SPOILERS FOR NEXT WEEK: JULY 27-31

Someone is charged with Lucy's murder!

EastEnders fans will see the Lucy Beale case develop even further next week as someone is finally charged with her murder.

The huge moment in the storyline comes after the investigation takes more twists and turns over the next few days.

The unlucky Walford resident in question will be charged in next Tuesday's episode (July 28), leaving the individual's friends and family struggling to come to terms with the news.

In the aftermath, another of the locals resorts to some drastic measures for the sake of their family.

Firm details surrounding the Lucy storyline and its future have been kept closely under wraps to preserve the secrecy surrounding the ongoing plot.

We've already seen Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid) get wrongly arrested for Lucy's murder after the unlicensed taxi driver who took her back to the Square on Good Friday 2014 came forward and identified him.

The show's latest episode also hinted that Max Branning (Jake Wood) could be next to find himself wrongly in the frame as the cab driver also later identified him.

With big drama to come in Walford, will it be Ben, Max or someone else who gets charged?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, July 28 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Coker centenary drama

EastEnders' Pam Coker will be left reeling next week as her grandson Paul finally opens up about his fears regarding Les's infidelity.

A big week for the Cokers sees them preparing for the centenary party, but the event soon goes downhill when Claudette Hubbard turns up to celebrate with them, despite warnings from Les that she should stay away.

As the evening goes on, Paul finds himself unable to hide the secret anymore as he watches Les and Claudette spend time together.

When Pam quizzes Paul on his strange behaviour, her world comes crashing down as he tells her that he thinks Les and Claudette are having an affair.

Lin Blakely interview

What's next for Pam and Les?
"Watch this space! Watch this space … There's lots of twists and turns that are going to happen for Les and Pam. Sadness, laughter … As actors it's going to be wonderful and I hope the audience enjoy it. It's so well written.

Lin has praised the scripts next week by Daran Little stating that they're 'terrifically written.'

Vincent reignites his feud with Phil by warning him that things will be changing at The Albert unless Sharon starts helping more. Soon afterwards, Kim is pleased to find that Vincent has changed the name of the bar to "Pearls".

Later, Phil angrily attacks Vincent for changing the name of the business and warns him not to disrespect him again. Buster walks in on the violent row, but quickly walks away rather than getting involved.

Meanwhile, the day of Libby's birthday dinner has arrived and Denise asks Shirley to leave for the day as she wants everything to be perfect. Despite this, Shirley turns up anyway after Vincent invites her, Buster and Dean over. Denise is furious when she finds Claudette cooking the dinner and Libby walks straight into their row when she arrives home. Denise continues to grow frustrated over the situation, especially when Vincent buys her daughter an expensive present.

Later, Libby takes a secret call from Chelsea and admits that she hasn't yet told Denise the news she has to share...

Elsewhere, Pam assures Paul that everything is fine, but it seems she may be fooling herself. Pam goes to visit Les but finds Claudette there. After a conversation with Ben, Paul apologises to his nan for his recent actions, but she admits that she has suspicions of her own.

Also today, Jane reluctantly visits Carol to find out what she knows about the night that Lucy died. Things become even more awkward for Ian and Jane when Carol asks them for more shifts in order to pay for a new solicitor for Max. How will they respond?

Finally, Dean grows frustrated when Roxy insists on keeping their relationship a secret. After encouragement from Dean, Roxy finally agrees to go to Libby's party with him.

Tuesday 4th August
written by: Julia Honour

Libby's birthday celebrations are ruined when Vincent arrives home bruised and battered, refusing to talk about what happened. Despite his silence, it doesn't take long for Claudette to realise that Phil is to blame for the attack. Once Libby has left the house, Denise and Patrick urge Kim to end her relationship with Vincent. Taking this on board, Kim sends Vincent packing despite him begging for another chance.

Outside the house, Denise and Libby have a heart-to-heart. After Libby says goodbye to her mum, she admits to Chelsea that she couldn't tell her the truth - but what is she hiding?

Later, Vincent returns after some advice from Ronnie and begs to see Kim again. Claudette stands in his way and urges him to give Kim some space. Vincent also warns Claudette that he will get his revenge against Phil, but Claudette tells him to back off - Phil will get what's coming to him.

Meanwhile, Dean is angry with Roxy for not turning up for the party. Roxy manages to win Dean round again with his charms, but Ronnie isn't pleased when she spots them looking cosy together. Back home, Ronnie orders her sister to break things off with Dean. Roxy reluctantly calls Dean and tells him they're over.

Elsewhere, Donna becomes aware of Pam's strange mood and encourages her to stop being a pushover. Taking control, Pam suggests to Les that they should invite Claudette over for dinner, but he rejects the idea. Later, Pam arrives home and is upset to find that Les is nowhere to be seen.

Thursday 6th August
written by: Matt Evans

Vincent continues his efforts to win Kim back and suggests that they should enter Pearl into Walford's 'Bonniest Baby' competition. Kim agrees and gives him another chance. Soon afterwards at the community centre, Kim isn't pleased to have strong competition as Mick and Linda arrive with Ollie, and Ronnie and Charlie turn up with Matthew.

Later, as everyone waits for the results, tension builds between Ronnie and Vincent when he tells her that he'd always choose her. Once the contest is over, Vincent pays a visit to Ronnie and kisses her - telling her that he can still have her.

Meanwhile, Dean accuses Ronnie of ruining his relationship with Roxy, but she refuses to listen to him. Dean later pays a visit to Roxy and wins her round again, which leads to them sleeping together again. When Ronnie returns home, Dean is forced to hide in the wardrobe but soon gets much more than he bargained for...

Elsewhere, Carol drowns her sorrows in The Vic after a difficult visit to Max in prison, especially as she is struggling to get the money together to pay for his QC. Carol is paranoid about Max being the subject of gossip on the Square and her anger grows when Abi refuses to help her dad. Later, a guilty Jane tries to help Carol, but it may already be too late as an emotional Carol makes a scene.

Also today, Shabnam isn't pleased with Carmel's continued interference with the wedding. To make matters worse, Kush reveals that Carmel has asked them to come and live with her once the baby arrives.

Finally, Pam's suspicions about Les continue to grow.

Friday 7th August
written by: Matt Evans

Carol asks Phil whether Ritchie could help with Max, but she has no luck making this happen. Fortunately, Sharon offers a glimmer of hope by suggesting that they could meet with her solicitor Margaret. Jane finds herself being dragged along to the meeting too. Afterwards, Carol confronts Jane and asks her why she is so sure that Max didn't kill Lucy. How will Jane respond?

Later, once Jane is back home, Ian assures her that Carol won't have any suspicions. However, when Jane goes outside, she sees Carol greeting two police officers. Is the Beale family's dark secret about to be revealed?

Meanwhile, Vincent is keen to get his life back on track and tells Ronnie that Kim is the one he really wants to be with. Does Vincent really believe his own words?

Later, Claudette becomes worried about the questions being asked, so she tells Vincent that the Carters need to go. As a result, Buster, Shirley and Dean find themselves being kicked out of the house. Over at The Vic, Vincent does his best to win over Denise and Patrick, but will it work?

Elsewhere, Shabnam agrees to move in with Carmel.

Judging by those spoilers, could be that Libby will be back for another short stint. Hopefully even Chelsea will return in the future. Libby's not my favourite character but if it gives Denise something to do, I'm happy.

I imagine the possible Ronnie/Dean interactions will be the first time in 8 years they've shared scenes which is weird. Has Ronnie been in the loop about everything that went on with him and Linda? She was in a coma while he was arrested in January. Since coming home she's been preoccupied with her own problems and hasn't been shown going into the Vic or anything like that.

Loving that Carol is still in the spotlight.

Ronnie is going to be Dean's punishment for Linda's rape. I like Vincent but so far I'm disappointed he was meant to be a villain I'm not fussed about Kim,Ronnie or the cupboard pub they have. Jane going to the solicitors omg the nerve of that woman.
