I don't want any ashdown episodes; an extremely overrated writer these days. He was very good when he first joined, but is mediocre now and is also responsible for some of the shoddy storylining. He and DTC are among the worst script editors EE has ever had.

Sorry, but I can only think of 2 worse ones; and they were both over a decade ago.

As news spreads of Ben and Jay's involvement in Heather's murder, Jay returns to the Square to face the wrath of the residents.

Jay is pushed to breaking point as the past catches up with him, and finds himself sleeping rough until an unlikely ally steps in to help.

Noticing that Fatboy is being bullied at work, Alfie gives him some advice - but things don’t quite go to plan.

Those 14th August spoilers - does that mean Jay and Lola are going to get together then? I hope not as Jay's already said that he doesn't want Lola in that way. I wonder if that might mean that he's the dad though......

If they do get together that would just be more ammunition for EE to make ben the dad. His murderous step brother is the father to his girlfriends baby, classic EE XD

But then, if a relationship is going to end during that game as well, why would Jay and Lola be there with the likes of Twitney, Anthony, Alice, Lauren etc. EDIT - just checked the dates, the spoiler on Jay and Lola is August 14th, whereas the spin-the-bottle is August 23rd, so probably not them. I'm starting to think it will be Poppy & Anthony.

I will be really annoyed if Jay and Lola get together, not just because I like Jabi (and I love Abi as a character), but that the writers would have just gone back on all of Jay's characterisation of the last 18-24 months.

This time last year, Lola was offering herself on a plate to Jay, and he didn't seem to jump for it as he wanted Abi. We've seen in the last few weeks how much he has regressed when he's just with Lola. Even the other week Lola wanted to be with him and Jay rejected her, saying he missed Abi.

^after all that, they'd be getting together now?

I seriously hope not - Jay's one of the few decent characters there and if all this is just so Abi has some drama when she returns then TPTB really don't have a clue whatsoever.

I think she finds out, and then it's dragged out for a few days more as she decides whether or not to turn Ben, so she can get justice for Heather, or let him stay free, so she can keep her 'family' in tact.

This is what i thought but if police already know the mitchells have something to do with it then it probably wont matter what shirley does. Im convinced ben goes on the run

Ian is buoyed after a shift in the cafe leaves him feeling closer to his old self while Andrew is unable to contain his anger when he finally comes face-to-face with Jay. Meanwhile a game of spin the bottle at Lauren's party has unexpected concequences for Tyler and Whitney.

Friday 24th August:
Facing increasing pressure from Phil, Ian contemplates what to do about Ben, but the decision is unexpectedly taken out of his hands when he receives a phonecall from the prison. Andrew makes a monumentous decision about his future as he continues to struggle with recent revelations. Still stunned by their kiss Anthony finally plucks the courage to ask Alice out.

Twitney break up

Looks like Andrew leaves............his role in the reveal is minor. He doesn't even feature in Sharon week. I suspect Lorraine has axed him.

Ian is buoyed after a shift in the cafe leaves him feeling closer to his old self while Andrew is unable to contain his anger when he finally comes face-to-face with Jay. Meanwhile a game of spin the bottle at Lauren's party has unexpected concequences for Tyler and Whitney. Friday 24th August: Facing increasing pressure from Phil, Ian contemplates what to do about Ben, but the decision is unexpectedly taken out of his hands when he receives a phonecall from the prison. Andrew makes a monumentous decision about his future as he continues to struggle with recent revelations. Still stunned by their kiss Anthony finally plucks the courage to ask Alice out. Twitney break up Looks like Andrew leaves............his role in the reveal is minor. He doesn't even feature in Sharon week. I suspect Lorraine has axed him.
