No, which paper was it? On Friday someone had read that Mandy was being axed, but we thought it was probably all just more of the 'new producer cast cull' speculation that's being going on since SB took over.

If that does turn out to be true, SB will go up in my estimation

Hurray indeed!

I have never liked him and saw no real relationship between him and Eileen, but even if there was, there's no way they could have a 'happy ever after' scenario with them. That would just destroy the Eileen character. She's way too interesting to get stuck with TinyFireman.

So it's a big YIPPEEE from me.

And a big YIPPEEE from me, too!!! A kind of justice for Lesley, perhaps

I didn't mind Paul as a character so I'm a little disappointed he's going whilst others I really don't like - Lloyd's extension of a family - seemingly remain.

Though it does seem like SB is making it quite clear who he considers deadwood and not beating around the bush which is good.

I was hoping he'd die in the fire but once he is leaving I don't really care.

That's Sunita, Brian & Paul all leaving, a good start.

Hopefully Karl, Sean, Faye, Izzy, Chesney, Dev and Rob all follow them.

I think it's too soon to axe Lloyd's new family.

I also read today that Michael le Vell plans to move to Australia after the trial and start a new life. He isn't happy with the way Corrie have treated him.

Eh....providing he doesn't got to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200. If proven guilty.

Really? How awful. I'm a great believer in the 'innocent until proven guilty' rule, but at the same time, I can see that this is a total minefield for Corrie, depending on how it goes. I'm torn really.

I like him - will be sorry to see him go. Should get rid of Mandy in my view

Jesus, no ones even giving Mandy or Jenna a chance, don't forget how long it took characters like the Windasses to actually settle into the show

If this is the story you are talking about.

It does not say anywhere that he was unhappy with the way that Corrie have treated him.

Karl Munro becomes increasingly ruthless next week, committing arson as part of his ongoing feud with Jason Grimshaw.

Karl steals Jason's work van, drives it to a remote spot and torches it in March 8's double bill of the soap.

Tempers boil over when Jason later figures out that Karl was responsible for the van incident. However, when Stella refuses to believe this theory, it seems that Karl's plan might be working.

John Michie, who plays Karl, told itv.com: "It's not just about getting revenge or getting his own back. Jason's a builder, so without a van he won't be able to do a great deal. He wants Jason to fail as the boyfriend, so it's vindictive and nasty - there's a definite plan.

"He certainly thinks he has done a good job. He's quite proud of his plan and how he took the van, where he blew it up and that nobody saw anything. He got a bit of a thrill out of that sort of devious behaviour."

Monday 4 March 2013

Stella's rattled and warns Karl to stay away from her. He attempts to send flowers but she bins them and looks forward to having Jason back that night. But when Gloria and Eva head to Eric's funeral, Karl seizes his chance and picks up Stella in his cab. On seeing her driver's identity, Stella tries to climb out, but Karl has other ideas!
Fiz and Tina decide to track down Alison and talk to her about Kirsty. She's shocked to hear Tyrone's in prison but will she believe their claims that Kirsty beat him up?

Eileen's not happy when Paul lets slip that the Full Monty organiser Toni is female.

Katy struggles to contain her jealousy as mate Steph paws Ryan in the pub. Owen offers Tim a few words of wisdom when he tells Faye he's too busy to attend her school play.

Monday 4 March 2013

While Jason waits for Stella in the pub, Karl drives to a deserted spot where he apologises to Stella for coming on strong the other night. She orders him to drive her home but is thrown when an emotional Karl refuses.

Alison visits Kirsty, asking where Tyrone is. She plays along as Kirsty rolls out her lies about Tyrone's abusiveness but she gently quizzes Kirsty about wanting to punish Tyrone for his philandering.

Eileen confronts Paul about keeping Toni's gender a secret. Paul's shocked to see how upset she is.

Dev and Sunita enjoy spending time together with the kids. Faye's thrilled when Tim tells her he can attend her play after all. Katy struggles to disguise her jealousy as Steph and Ryan head into town together.

Wednesday 6 March 2013

Stella's incensed when Karl turns up at the pub and orders him to leave. Gloria defends Karl but when Stella snaps and reveals he kidnapped her last night, Gloria, Jason and Steve react angrily. Sunita enjoys watching Karl's downfall but she's shaken when he blames her for wrecking his life and vows to make her pay!

When Eileen admits to Julie she's insecure about Paul working with Toni, Julie suggests they go to the fire station and take a look at Toni. But Paul catches them snooping!

Kirsty prepares to visit the police and confess her lie but she spots Alison talking to Fiz and Tina!

Faye tells Brian she only needs two tickets for the school play. Katy's nose is put out of joint when Steph invites Ryan on a date.

Friday 8 March 2013

Jason's excited to learn he's in the running for a building job for the council. Karl's bitter after losing his job and follows Jason. The meeting goes well but Jason's good mood evaporates when he realises his van has gone.

Paul's frosty with Eileen but he softens as she explains she lives in fear that he'll leave her for someone else. Paul does his best to reassure her but when Eileen later finds he's been lying to her about his whereabouts she fears the worst.

Anna's surprised to hear how many Barlows are attending the school play and confronts Brian about their limited tickets.

Ryan asks Katy if she's jealous about his date with Steph. Flustered, Katy denies it but Ryan's unconvinced. Fiz tells Tyrone that she persuaded Alison to speak to Kirsty.

Friday 8 March 2013
Jason's fuming as the police question him, claiming to have received a tip-off that someone matching his description was seen fleeing from a burning van. Realising he's been set up, Jason tells the police to talk to Karl. Stella thinks Jason's been ridiculous. As the couple row, could Karl's plan be working?

Eileen confronts Paul for lying about his whereabouts but when he angrily reveals that he went with Toni to buy Eileen an engagement ring, she's gutted to realise she's blown her romantic proposal!

After a triumphant performance, Anna tackles Faye over her lies about the tickets. It becomes clear that Faye hoped Tim and Anna would become a couple.

Sunita invites Dev to stay for tea as they bask in their shared pride after the twins' play. Fiz tells Tina that Tyrone's solicitor reckons that by approaching Alison, they could be accused of intimidating a witness. Katy's jealous as Steph and Ryan go on their date.

"Kirsty prepares to visit the police and confess her lie but she spots Alison talking to Fiz and Tina!"

- that is yet another thing that may gain sympathy from some viewers; after listening to her mother, she decided to confess but then thought that her mother was against her, too.

Tim is always there "doing something" every time Anna, Faye and Owen step outside, ready to "accidentally" bump into them? Am I imagining this? If he's not physically bumping into them he's on the wireless [literally] laptop. Some would call this stalking.
