I reckon once the court case is over and Carla moves on with a new random bloke, Peter should be consumed with jealousy which, being in total denial, he believes and claims to be concern for her welfare and nothing more, but we all know otherwise... then take it from there!

Lol I may be wrong but I can imagine Carla is going to find it hard even contemplating another relationship with a man for a while - Peter may be an exception as she obviously loves and trusts him but after the rape even he caused her some discomfort as we saw her back slightly away from him twice

It really wouldn't surprise me if she tries to kill herself again or something. I mean I know how determined she is to recover but there's only so much one person can cope with. I'm 99% convinced Frank will get off if the case even gets to trial in the end, and I really do worry how she'll ever cope with that. I mean the only thing she seems to be living for now is to see him put away, so... IMO, and I haven't read any spoilers or anything to suggest it, but she'll either have a complete breakdown and end up being hospitalised or something equally upsetting, attempt suicide again or somehow claw her way back up. I hope and pray it's the latter.

Yeah, I have a bad feeling he might get off too. And her recent storyline has proved how vulnerable she actually is and how brilliant she is at putting on a front. I think she will claw her way back up, but I think she is going to be knocked back quite a few times. I wish they not rushed this suicide attempt in the way they have but I hope this storyline plays out for a while as it really is bringing out the best in all actors/actresses involved

Problem is, it's not just in the last few weeks since the crash/rape/everything that she's been so low. This has been going on for well over a year, but like you said she's put on a front to the world so no one (except Peter, who's... yeah!) has been able to see how desperately she's needed help.
At least she's got some people to lean on now though - Maria, Peter, Stella and soon Michelle. Can't wait for those two to be reunited!

Anyone else hoping for a christmas revelation - That Carla's Pregnant? I usually hate it when the writers get characters pregnant because the majority of times it completly ruins the character and after a few months the child is never seen again. However I think it would actually be intersting to see how someone as complex as Carla would handle a pregnancy.

I am not going to lie, I would rather like to see that - but not with it being Frank's - she would have had emergency contraception after the rape. People often say she has not a maternal bone in her body - but I would never had thought someone like Tracy would be a good mum, and actually she is alright.

Didn't she refuse the emergency contraception though? Maybe it could be Peter's baby, that would really stir things up. I just think a preganacy could add a whole new depth to an already incredibly complex character. I'd be really intrested to see how Carla would cope with all the emotions that come with having a child.
