Should be be brilliant with John back, Sally joining Frank, more screen time for Marcus, big story for Eileen and some romance for Jeff.

Wow. Carla really is having a hard time

I really hope that Frank does not attack Sally - I don't think it would be the best way for the storyline to go and why on earth would he do that if he was on trial - unless like others have said they decide not to go ahead with it

If the case gets dropped, which I'm thinking is what DC Malone's "shocking news" is, then I can totally see why Sally would be tricked into it.

1)He's a persuasive bugger
2)Sally blatantly used to/still does fancy him
3) Carla and Sally have never got on so this could be a way of getting one up on her, or at least might make Sally less likely to listen. If the case has been dropped then she'll convince herself that she made it up.
4) He (probably, I don't know) flatters her, tells her what a good job she did when he and Carla were in Rome and offers her a supervisor job or something.

But yeah. As much as I'm not overly keen on Sally, she doesn't deserve that any more than Carla or Maria did.

Re Sally and Frank I was under the impression that the 'blow' dealt is Sally pledging her allegiance to Frank after he offers her a better job offer. Considering how well Carla dealt with Sallys illness this a kick in the teeth. I don't think they are to e romantically linked - I think even sally knows three men is too much!

Yes, you're probably right. Peter could well play a significant part in re-building her physical trust in men. He's already made progress, as we've clearly seen. I can imagine he'll be the only guy she'll trust on that level for a good while.

The only trouble is that if Peter takes a wrong step with Carla it could shatter the progress she's made already.

Exactly. She is already very vulnerable and I am not blaming him, but I think he needs to be very careful with her - if he does not have feelings for her he needs to realize that she does love him and that she does feel she needs him so he needs to make sure he does not mess with that and let her believe something could happen if it wont. At the same time if he does have feelings and does want to act on them/ or his true feelings are beginning to blossom then he also needs to be careful as she is really delicate right now

She's made a few comments to suggest she does, but nothing explicit to be fair.

Totally agree re Peter and Carla. 'The Sofa Scene', cuteness aside, was actually a big step in terms of her physical trust, but she's obviously still very wary and fragile and Ali's whole body language has reflected that perfectly - the way she sat in a very guarded position on Monday - although admittedly leaning towards him slightly. I actually thought this was really well done as it shows her conflict of still being attracted to Peter and wanting to keep that closeness that they always had, but at the same time being incredibly wary and scared. Anyway, I agree that it'll be a while before Carla allows any other man to get that close to her, and I think Peter needs to realise what this means and the trust that she's placing in him and the amount of damage somehow breaking that trust could do to her.
I was thinking last night, what if something happens and Carla, in her confused state, tries to kiss Peter again. I mean I know that any form of physical intimacy must frighten her at the moment, but with her fragile state of mind I can maybe see it happening out of confusion or whatnot. How Peter reacts to this could potentially be disastrous either way. If he rejects her, or if he doesn't.

I agree with this and I think the producers are going to be very sensitive and intelligent in dealing with the way this storyline progresses.
I maintain that something has to happen. Anything, but something definitive has to happen. To bring the confusion this far and continue to build up the tension between Peter and Carla for nothing to happen would be a completely awful way to end a storyline which viewers have really invested in. If they wanted to do that, they could have left things as they were when Peter decided to forgive Leanne.
But at the same time, I can't see them having a tempestuous affair because of Carla's understandable lack of trust when it comes to physicality. I don't think she will be able to commit to anything sexual for a long time.
Anyway, just throwing my thoughts into the mix!
