I was wondering if anybody had seen this?

This is kind of what I imagined was going to happen
I really, really hope not.

I agree with this and I think the producers are going to be very sensitive and intelligent in dealing with the way this storyline progresses.
I maintain that something has to happen. Anything, but something definitive has to happen. To bring the confusion this far and continue to build up the tension between Peter and Carla for nothing to happen would be a completely awful way to end a storyline which viewers have really invested in. If they wanted to do that, they could have left things as they were when Peter decided to forgive Leanne.
But at the same time, I can't see them having a tempestuous affair because of Carla's understandable lack of trust when it comes to physicality. I don't think she will be able to commit to anything sexual for a long time.
Anyway, just throwing my thoughts into the mix!
As Carla will be wary of men for some time and Peter wouldn't want to cheat on Leanne anyway, I would imagine that he is more likely to be there emotionally more than anything else which of course could mean that he realises that he's fallen in love with her

Schmeichel is filming his final scenes. Its going to be so sad when he leaves, I can still remember when Chesney got him as a small puppy

I don't know if he will be put down on-screen, but if he does, I hope the producers don't ruin an emotional moment by jumping to some other character, the episode should end there.

I've been rewatching some of the episodes from last year, and I was thinking that the Nick/Leanne thing does seem a little unresolved. They have barely spoken to each other - but when the affair ended, she emphasised how much did care about him and they shared that kiss at Christmas.

The only thing is, that means the storyline is going to be going on for a LOT longer.

I can see Nick/Leanne maybe kicking off aain, and Eve getting involved to turning the whole thing into a love web.

This article here says Sian/Sophie actually get married. But I think they are mistaken myself, but it could be interesting if the truth came out just after the wedding. For Sian's sake I hope it's before they marry, it would be less heartbreaking for her to be dumped as a fiancee than a newly married wife.

And the acting/interest/watchability quotients of the Schmeichel/Ches team each drop by 10 points.

If she goes through with it, Sophie will look even worse that she already does.

And Sian will look stupider than she already will. How she doesn't pick up signs something is wrong is beyond me. It's not like Sophie is good at hiding her feelings lol.

I hope they don't get married tbh. Because that would be three gay marriages on soaps that have ended badly very quickly. Zoe/Emma's marriage broke up straight away because she loved Suzy, I think her name was. Sam and Paul's marriage in ED broke up within 3 months over basically nothing. I don't like the image it would send out. I would prefer they break up before they are married. And I tend to trust the Sun more on this anyway, as their other details seem to somewhat truthful, and they implied it was at the wedding or before that Sophie left her.

- no reason why she should cheat on him.

Sian isn't that smart and who knows what will go on between Sophie/Amber, it might be that not much happens and Sophie dumps Sian on a whim(she's done stupider things in the past.) Although Sunita was quick to pick up something going on about Sophie/Sian maybe she will sniff out the cheating/lying this time around.

I have a feeling, and I hope that the silly Eva/ Peter suggestion was actually Eva/ Nick which makes way more sense

There was something about that a while back, and I think it would be more suitable for the storyline, in all honesty. If Peter wanted to cheat on Leanne then Carla has been there, ready and waiting.
Nick, on the other hand, is happy to have his cake and eat it - and if Leanne found out, it would leave her questioning her feelings for Nick again.

Yeah and also, Peter has been trying so hard to be faithful, why would he cheat with Leanne on:

a) he sister
b) he has not shown any feelings for Eva
c) to me he has feelings for Carla

And yeah Nick would make the story way more interesting

In spite of his acting.

You could look back it and say he was trying to get her sympathy to get her into bed.

But I doubt it.

i reckon he may have been trying to get sympathy ffrom maria. That's just what we'll have to believe now, considering his mother is in corrie next week.

Your right, and also Andrew Lancel has said that he knew what would happen in this storyline from the beginning

If Peter's relationship with Carla does indirectly play a part in the case being dropped (which I honestly do think is going to happen) then I can see Leanne getting upset, confused and jealous and Nick swooping in to do his knight in shining armour routine and that being what kickstarts another affair between the two. I think if Peter and Carla are going to get together, it'll be after Peter finds out about this and they split up, and Carla being there for Peter and whatnot. Just my theory on it, not heard anything other than that article to suggest any of it though.
