Les Dennis returns as jailed burglar Michael who comes face-to-face with victim Gail Platt

Gail visits Michael in prison as part of a restorative justice programme to confront him about what he did.

She tells him she has been left terrified and scared to be alone in her own home and says he should 'feel ashamed'.

A remorseful Michael tells her he chose number eight completely at 'random' as he wanted to pay bills and buy food.

But his apology doesn't wash with stone-faced Gail.

Tina McIntyre murder fallout spoilers

Following last week’s calamitous drop, poor Tina’s still in a critical condition.

But it’s about to get a whole lot worse when she rapidly deteriorates and the hospital crash team rush in to try and resuscitate her.

Her alarmed visitors, David and Rita, can only wait helplessly in the wings as the team performs their emergency procedures – but it’s no use.

David is sobbing like a baby and Rita is numb when they’re told that Tina has passed away.

Naturally, it doesn’t take long for news of the barmaid’s death to reach the Street and the accusations start flying.

Carla points the finger at Peter who staggers off to drown his sorrows in a bottle of vodka (what else?) with her angry advice to drink himself to death ringing in his ears.

Later, fists start flying when Peter aims a punch at Rob.

The sight of her sozzled husband lashing out is enough to tip pregnant Carla over the edge and she suddenly doubles up in pain clutching her stomach.

Following Tina’s tragic death, is an unborn child about to lose its life too?

Watch this space.

Sounds just like Maria and people wonder why she lost her mind. If there ever 2 characters who desperately need some long lasting happiness it's these two.

Dennis spoke about what his character has in store for the future.

"Gail will come and see Michael in prison in a restorative justice storyline... She comes to prison and meets Michael and asks him why he did it," he revealed.

"He's not a career burglar... he's down on his luck, he's lost his business, his family, everything. Maybe he's not the monster Gail thinks he is."

I feel sorry for Owen.

Owen Armstrong struggles to keep a lid on his temper in the aftermath of Anna Windass's confession.

The couple's relationship hit the rocks earlier this week as Anna was finally honest with Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies) about how she slept with Pat Phelan in a desperate bid to end his blackmail.

As well as feeling disgusted over what Anna did, Owen can't help but resent Gary (Mikey North) for causing the situation with Phelan in the first place.

Matters don't get any easier when smug Phelan sends a postcard to the Windasses, continuing to taunt them from afar.

Events come to a head when Gary takes it upon himself to fund a night at the ice rink for Faye, wanting to give her a treat following the family's recent financial problems.

Owen is unhappy with Gary for interfering and fuel is later added to the fire when Faye returns home drunk after misbehaving with her friends.

Does the house where Owen and Anna live belong to both of them, does anyone know?

It belongs to Owen, when the previous owner sold it up (as it was only rented to Anna) Owen had decided to buy it and become her landlord so she could remain there.

Peter 'causing' Michelle and Steve to split is probably the best thing ever to happen. They can't really act like it was a loving relationship before this whole mess. And surprise surprise, Michelle runs to Carla, no doubt she will be working at the factory next.

And Anna will get a taster of what her family did to Joe when not paying for the kitchen, leading him down a spiral of debts and losing his flat and having to live in a lockup.

Anna really has no right, morally nor anything else to treat Owen like this.
And at last we see Tina's mother (different actress from the last time).
Why doesn't Sally want to marry Tim? They are lovely together.

http://www.corrie.net/kabin/gazette.html

Please Note Schedule Changes. Corrie airs for one hour on Friday

Monday 9 June 2014

Owen returns from Aberdeen but is shocked to find Katy packing her things at No.6. When she confesses that Anna told her and Izzy about how she slept with Phelan, Owen is mortified. Anna insists they need to talk. Owen snaps.

Carla tells Michelle that she should stop blaming Steve for the havoc wreaked by Peter. A depressed Steve calls in at the factory and in front of a crowd he bares his soul to Michelle.

Sally's taken aback when Tim presents her with an engagement ring that he bought from Barlow's Buys.

Gary fixes a leak in the Bistro and asks Nick if, in return, he can bring Owen, Anna, Izzy and Katy for dinner.

Monday 9 June 2014

Owen calms down after his outburst but admits that he can't get the thought of her and Phelan out of his head. They head to the Bistro and with the atmosphere tense, Gary announces he's landed an interview for a 12-month contract. Izzy tells Owen he needs to have it out with Anna and air their differences.

With all eyes on her, Michelle reluctantly agrees to go back to the Rovers with Steve and talk things through. He begs her to give him another chance.

Sally hesitantly shows off her engagement ring in the cafe. Sophie's unconvinced and asks Sally if she really wants to marry Tim.

Carla's angry when Peter lets himself into the factory and parks himself at his desk, pointing out the business is half his. A tipsy Marcus tells Todd that he loves him.

Wednesday 11 June 2014

Owen and Anna are on edge when they receive a postcard from Phelan. Desperate for work, Owen reluctantly agrees to do some grouting for Roy but is annoyed when he finds out that Gary has funded Faye's night at the ice rink. When Gary later returns home with a drunken Faye, Owen flips and punches Gary.

Sophie can see right through Sally when she's awkward with Tim and urges her to tell him the truth. Sally psyches herself up to tell Tim that she doesn't want to marry him but her plans are thwarted by the commotion coming from No.6.

Tina's mother, Ann, arrives on the street and talks at length about Tina to Rita and Dennis. Rob introduces himself and offers to help in any way he can.

Marcus tells Todd he's really embarrassed about his admission the previous night. Lloyd enjoys being fussed over by Jenna and Andrea.

Friday 13 June 2014 (One hour)

Sporting a shiner, Gary is bitter he didn't get the job and blames it on his black eye. Gary goads Owen until he snaps and reveals Anna slept with Phelan to keep him out of prison. Anna rails at Owen for blabbing to Gary.

When the police take Carla in for further questioning, a panicked Rob tries to object. When Carla returns to the factory, she's greeted by a client who offers his sympathy for her marriage break-up but Carla flips and kicks him out. Upset and angry, a drunken Carla slags off Tina in front of Ann.

Julie gathers Sally and Tim's friends in the Rovers to witness his romantic proposal. Everyone's bemused when Tim goes down on one knee and asks Sally not to marry him. Sally gleefully agrees to carry on living in sin and kisses him.

Jenna's disappointed when Lloyd wants to take Andrea on holiday. Andrea's privately relieved when she persuades Lloyd to take Jenna instead. Todd encourages Marcus to buy a car, admitting to Tony that he's not really interested in Marcus and intends to move on once he's got all he can from him.

With Peter being shamed and turned against (again) this could be Chris's last hurrah in the show. I think if Peter does return in a few years he really needs to reinvent himself, stop with this affair nonsense and move the character forward. He has to learn from his mistakes eventually and this is a serious matter and he is going to go through quite a lot looking at the spoilers.

Agreed.

At last, someone thought about telling Tina's mother:

t's always nice to receive a postcard from someone on their holidays. Unless your Owen and Anna and the postcard is from Phelan!

Tina’s mum, Ann, arrives on the street to talk to Rita...

Grrrrrrr! I knew Todd didn't give two hoots about Marcus.

Hard to sympathise too much with Marcus though. You reap what you sow and all that.

Yet the actor had thought differently. Just shows the actors and actresses may be told something that changes or they just guess.

I wonder if Ken will be back before Peter leaves. I agree I think they should reintroduce Adam, perhaps he can take over Peter's job at the factory (he did work there a few years ago with Danny Baldwin). As long as he doesn't end up getting together with Carla and becoming the next Corrie psycho.

Bill returned to filming on Monday so he'll be back in 6 weeks. Ken returns oblivious to his son being held for murder so that has the making of some good Corrie scenes. If only Blanche was still here, she'd have had a field day.
