http://www.corrie.net/kabin/gazette.html

Monday 13 October 2014
Rob worms his way out of going to Peter's trial, instead helping Carla move her stuff into her new flat. Rob and Carla look after Simon for an afternoon, Simon tells Rob that he misses his real mum and Tina. At Simon's request, Rob takes him to visit Tina's grave. Rob assures Simon that Peter had nothing to do with Tina's death.
Steve is nervous as he waits to be called as a witness at Peter's trial. Norris finds Steve talking to himself in the court loos as he psychs himself up for the witness box, leaving him embarrassed.

Roy takes the witness stand and describes how he saw Peter entering Tina's flat on the night of her attempted murder.

Kylie visits Callum to beg him for more drugs.

Monday 13 October 2014
Peter's hopes of being found innocent dwindle as more evidence is given against him. In his cell, he tells Clelland that Carla's witness statement will be the last straw. Rob tells Simon that he doesn't know who killed Tina, but knows that it wasn't Peter. Simon believes him. Ken is furious with Rob for raising Simon's hopes.

Steve's nerves lead to a panicked outburst in the witness box. This causes concern when he explains to Liz and Michelle that he feels he has made things worse for Peter.

Roy is overcome with loneliness when he receives a letter addressed to both he and Hayley. David notices Kylie behaving oddly when she arrives home after having taken speed.

Wednesday 15 October 2014
When Carla is called as witness, she describes Peter's affair with Tina, and is cross-examined by Peter's barrister. Carla is taken aback, and tells the court that she does not believe Peter is capable of murder, leading Peter to believe that she is still in love with him.

After a group of teenagers attempt to vandalise Tina's memorial, Roy confides in Anna about how much he misses Hayley, who encourages him to try and move on. Roy plans to scatter Hayley's ashes in Blackpool with Tyrone and his family.

Steve becomes increasingly isolated, he ignores Eileen's calls and she finds him listening to music in his cab - is he seeking refuge from the outside world?

Todd is doing a poor job of looking after Rob and Tracy's shop while they're in court.

Friday 17 October 2014
Roy gets increasingly anxious as he prepares to scatter Hayley's ashes in Blackpool. Meanwhile, Maddie and Sophie discover a break-in at the cafe flat.

Peter is called to the witness box, telling the court that Tina was just a bit of fun for him but he always loved Carla. When the prosecution barrister challenges him, he erupts, insisting he is telling the truth.

Liz confides in Eileen how Jim is pestering her from prison just as Tony appears in the Rovers. Liz and Tony continually glance at one another – clearly as stubborn as each other.

Audrey is overcome with fear when she goes to collect her car from Luke, finding herself too afraid to drive it away.

Friday 17 October 2014
Faced with the devastation in his flat, Roy is distraught. When police finish their search, Anna tidies the mess and Jason fixes the locks. Although Anna and Tyrone do their best to reassure Roy, he is left clutching Hayley's ashes – alone and terrified.

Peter, Carla, Ken and Rob listen intently to the judge's summing up of the case.

Monday 20 October
7:30

In his prison cell, a nervous Peter waits for the jury to reach a verdict. Jim winds him up, telling him he may as well accept he'll be behind bars for life. Peter's solicitor arrives to reveal that the jury have reached a verdict and he's required back in court. Peter anxiously awaits the verdict.
Roy is clearly not himself since the break-in and is unnerved to spot a couple of teenage louts hanging around again. He locks himself into the cafe.

Tony and Liz continue their hostilities, neither willing to back down. Meanwhile, Liz visits Jim in prison and tells him she doesn't intend to visit again. But she's stunned when Jim announces that he'll be able to visit her in future as he's being moved to an open prison.

Promising David she'll clean the house and prepare a meal for Gail and Michael's return, Kylie secretly takes another wrap of speed. Owen breaks the news to Anna that they've received the repossession order and have to be out of the house in 28 days. Anna's worried sick.

8:30

Peter's stunned as the verdict is revealed, while Rob does his best to hide his feelings. Is Peter going down for a murder he didn't commit or will the search for the real killer commence? Carla is now convinced of Peter's innocence and tells Rob she wonders who really killed Tina.

Jim admits to Liz that he hopes once he's released, they can get back together. Horrified at the thought, Liz tells him it's never going to happen. And how will Steve react when Liz explains that Jim was never bothered about seeing him again, it was just a ruse to try and win her back.

Roy joins Fiz, Sinead and Beth in the pub. Sinead realises he's avoiding being home alone and is clearly still nervous as a result of the burglary.

Gail and Michael return from their holiday and are impressed to find Kylie's tidied the house and made a meal. Kylie covers her unease but when she reaches for another wrap of speed, will she be caught in the act? When Faye finds some estate agent details, Anna and Owen are forced to admit they're moving and it might mean a change of school.

Wednesday 22 October

Steve visits Jim and reveals he knows Jim was only using him to get to Liz and how he resorted to blackmail using Peter as his weapon. Furious with his Dad, Steve reports Jim for illegally using a mobile phone to harass Liz. Jim is incandescent with rage as he's dragged away by the prison officers. Back on the street, Tony and Liz celebrate the fact they're back together but the mood is broken when Steve arrives home, clearly shaken. Liz suggests to Tony he should move into the Rovers with her

Feeling terrible, on a come-down from her last drugs hit, Kylie does her best to appear normal in front of David. Alone in the salon, she's about to take her last wrap of speed when Maria arrives with Liam. Kylie quickly hides the drug in her nail box. When Liam opens the box and starts playing with the contents, Kylie goes berserk, making Liam cry. As Maria and Kylie row, David and Audrey return.

Aware Roy doesn't like being alone in his flat, Tyrone and Fiz invite him for dinner with Chesney and Sinead. But when there's a knock at the door everyone is stunned when Cilla enters, clutching an overnight bag, her wrist in plaster.

Encouraged by Eileen, Tony finally swallows his pride and apologises to Liz. Yasmeen, Sharif, Kal and Zeedan put the finishing touches to the new community centre.

Friday 24 October
7:30

Kylie's tetchy while she tries to cover the fact she's on another come down. When Callum phones demanding to see her, she's shocked and, making out she's got a nail appointment, Kylie tracks him down to the pub. After handing her another wrap of speed, Callum reveals he wants to see his son Max. Kylie's horrified and telling Callum it's really not a good idea she rushes off.

Liz and Tony are like a couple of excitable teenagers as he moves his stuff into the Rovers. Meanwhile, determined to cheer Steve up and put the zing back in their relationship, Michelle tells him she's treating him to lunch in the Bistro.

Surrounded by family and friends, Yasmeen proudly says a few words as she opens the new community centre. Alya's unnerved to see Gary there after asking him to keep his distance.

Having spent the night on Fiz and Tyrone's sofa, Cilla insists on buying them lunch in the cafe. Fiz is convinced she's after something but Cilla's absolutely charming, leaving Fiz more certain than ever that she's up to something!

8:30

Kylie angrily warns Callum he's crossed the line. Lying to David about another evening nail appointment, she tracks him to the pub and orders him to stay away from Max and her family. But as she goes to leave, Gemma collapses, having overdosed. Kylie's terrified her old friend could die and accompanies her to hospital. As Gemma fights for her life, Kylie vows to give up the drugs. But is it too little too late as a suspicious David confronts Kylie back at home.

Aware there's something bothering him, Michelle does her best to talk to Steve. Michelle later confides in Liz and Eileen that she reckons Steve's gone off her.

Yasmeen makes a speech to the assembled crowd. Gary begs Alya to give him a chance and promises her their relationship will be a purely platonic one.

when Chesney calls at No.9 with Joseph, Cilla plays the doting Granny but Chesney's unmoved, convinced she's got an ulterior motive. As Chesney stalks out, Sinead notices Cilla convulsing in pain.

Blackburn has said that he's planning on moving the Nazirs on to the Street so I'm assuming that they'll move them into where the Windass/ Armstrong family currently live. Is the 8:30 episode on the Sunday a two-hander?

The badly acted and terribly written Tracy is to get another storyline when she has a fling with Tony. No doubt she will be wrapping her arms around him (while also gurning and grinning) in order to make Liz jealous, so predictable.

Isn't that a very small two-bedroomed house? When a character walks in through the front door, the back door looks about fifteen feet away.
dullagj2
20-10-2014
The Platt family will be among those taking centre stage as Gail deals with Michael's devastating health news and Kylie continues to battle drug addiction.

Blackburn said: "This marks the start of a really cracking three or four months' worth of stories, beyond Christmas and into January.

"It's all about the families and probably the nation's favourite families - the Barlows, the Platts, the Grimshaws, the Tinkers, the Websters. All of these guys are going to be taking centre stage in very different ways.

"For the Platts, it is just chaos isn't it? Complete heartache for poor Gail who has fallen in love with a man Michael, whose heart literally is broken.

"For David, it is the tragedy for Kylie again as she goes back to the past and has fallen into drug addiction. There is some incredibly moving, powerful stuff. I think all of you know that there will come a point where, for obvious reasons, Kylie vanishes.

"The story doesn't end there because by then, David will have wound up Callum who is not only Kylie's violent ex but is also the father of Max. He will do anything he can to get payback from David. We might also find that he has a few legal rights over Max as well given that he is his natural father."

Blackburn also teased a fun story for Nick Tilsley, the upcoming arrival of Claire King's character Erika and an ongoing struggle for Steve McDonald.

He said: "The soap gods aren't entirely cruel! Nick is going to have a whole heap of fun in the form of Liz's friend, Erika, played by the very glorious and very glamorous Claire King.

"Then there are the McDonalds over at The Rovers with a story that is really close to my heart. In some of the episodes coming up, the performances, especially from Simon Gregson and Kym Marsh, just prove again and again what wonderful actors they are."

He added: "This is a story about Steve battling his secret, hidden depression. He is a man in chaos, scared and confused, and stuff like this doesn't happen to people like him. He is absolutely terrified of admitting it.

"This will come to a head in January where a tragedy will strike that will force him to face up to those demons. This isn't an issues story though. Obviously depression amongst men is incredibly widespread and probably not spoken about enough, but this is just a love story between Steve and Michelle and a very brilliant one at that."

Discussing other characters, Blackburn added: "There is loads more coming up. In brief, we have Faye's secret pregnancy, the return of Owen's first wife, some chickens at Christmas, a Tinker wedding and some sofa-based bonding for Kevin and Tim."

Tracy is excited as she prepares for her wedding and at her hen do in the pub she tells the girls how Rob is her soul mate. Rob, meanwhile, spends his stag night with Carla where she quizzes him about the night of Tina's murder. Irritated by her obsessive questioning, Rob claims he and Tracy left their engagement party, returned home and had sex on the sofa. Nipping out, Carla corners Tracy in the Rovers and questions her also. But when Tracy tells her she and Rob went back to No.1 and headed straight upstairs, Carla realises their stories don't match. Returning home Carla tells a horrified Rob she now has the proof that Peter didn't kill Tina!

Kylie secretly phones the hospital and is relieved to hear that Gemma has been discharged. When David goes to read Max a story, she flushes her last wrap of speed down the sink, determined to be a better mother and wife.

Gary and Alya enjoy a romantic walk, clearly smitten with each other. Gary promises they'll take things slowly.

Michael is worried when he receives a letter from the hospital asking him to attend an appointment with the heart consultant. When Sinead finds Cilla doubled-up with pain, she begs her to tell the family about her illness.

8:30

Carla reveals to Rob that she knows he's lying and reckons he's covering up for Tracy, the real murderer. As Carla reaches for her phone, intent on calling the police, Rob stops her. Rob explains that Tracy was actually driving a van load of stolen gear when Tina was murdered and they lied to the police knowing they'd both be sent down if they were caught. Rob tells Carla how much he loves Tracy and how he's looking forward to settling down and having kids. When Carla points out that Tracy's false alibi means he too is without an alibi, Rob loses his temper and storms out. Carla's taken aback by the ferocity of his outburst. Rob returns to the flat blaming it on wedding nerves. But Carla's not convinced and, pointing out how he seemed to know from the off that she was innocent, asks him if he killed Tina. Rob tries to deny it but Carla pushes and pushes until Rob can't take any more and finally confesses that he did murder Tina. Rob begs a shocked Carla to keep his guilty secret and not to involve the police, while, at No.1, an emotional Tracy tells Ken how much Rob means to her and how she wants their wedding to be perfect!

Wednesday 29 October

His nerves in shreds, Rob irons his wedding shirt, wondering what Carla will do. Still conflicted, Carla tells Rob she needs to get ready for the wedding. Rob's relieved that she's chosen to keep quiet and as they set off, Rob thanks her for standing by him. Tracy's brimming with happiness as she, Amy and Ken leave for the wedding in a horse drawn carriage. Michelle ushers the guests into the venue, desperate for everything to be perfect after all her hard work. With the guests assembled, Rob waits nervously for Carla.

Unable to confide in Gail, it's left to Eileen to accompany a jittery Michael to his hospital appointment. Back at home, Gail plans a Japanese evening to cheer Michael up but when David and Kylie clock Eileen and Michael arriving home in a taxi, they wonder what's going on?

Cilla packs her bags and tells Fiz and Tyrone she knows she's outstayed her welcome. As Tyrone, Fiz, Chesney and Sinead see Cilla off on the bus, Sinead can see she's in a lot of pain.

Michelle confides in Liz that things are really bad between she and Steve.

Friday 31 October
7:30

As Tracy and Amy pose for photos outside the wedding venue, Rob tries to read Carla. Will Carla stand by her brother and watch the wedding go ahead or is Rob and Tracy's perfect day about to be blown apart?

Michael and Gail enjoy their sushi. They're interrupted by David and Kylie who insist on joining them. When David accuses Michael of having an affair with Eileen, Michael is forced to tell Gail how Eileen accompanied him to his hospital appointment. Gail's furious that he chose to take Eileen rather than her. But when Michael reveals his results Gail is silenced.

Fiz and Chesney celebrate the fact Cilla's gone but Sinead can't bear it any longer and reveals that Cilla is in fact seriously ill. Fiz and Chesney are stunned.

As the net closes in on Rob, Tracy faces up to the future, but is it as a married woman?

Rob is on the run and when Tracy gets a call from an unknown number, she is shocked to hear what Rob has to say. Telling Tracy that he loves she and Amy more than anything, Rob begs her to meet up with him and bring some cash. Will Tracy agree?

Meanwhile, as Liz opens her birthday card from Tony, she tells him that she can't believe he was so stupid as to get involved with Tracy Barlow. Will Tony be able to win her round with a surprise romantic meal in the back room of The Rovers?

Elsewhere, following a suggestion from Audrey, Maria calls in the garage and asks Luke if he'll come with her to look at a car she is thinking of buying.

Also, Michelle is at her wits' end as she tries to juggle her work commitments. Michelle is hurt to discover that Steve volunteered to do a double shift at Street Cars and is clearly avoiding her.

Finally, after several wasted phone calls, Michael gets hold of his cousin Elaine who provides him with a possible address for his son Gavin. Gail wishes him luck as he sets off in the hope of finding his son.

8:30

When Beth calls at Number 1 to see Tracy, Ken is alarmed to discover that she is missing. At the B&B, Rob explains to Tracy how he never intended to kill Tina and wishes things were different. Tracy accuses Rob of risking everything for Carla.

As Ken searches in vain for Tracy, worried what might have happened to her, it's decision time for Tracy. Handing Rob some cash, will Tracy be able to face a life without the man she loves, or will she agree to go on the run with Rob?

Meanwhile, as Maria drives Luke to a country cottage where she has made an appointment to view a car, they bicker over her driving skills. They are out on a test drive with the car's owner when he suddenly becomes unwell and they hastily call an ambulance. As Maria and Luke set off on foot back to the house, they blame each other for their disastrous day.

Elsewhere, Tony works his charm on Liz.

Also, Eva does her best to encourage Todd and Eileen to mend bridges and talk to each other, but Jason wades in and orders Todd to leave.

Finally, Michael arrives home drunk, explaining to Gail how he searched the pubs of Manchester for Gavin and a barman said that he would get an address for him.

Wednesday 5th November

At Number 1, Tracy packs some things into a hold-all ready for her getaway with Rob. Desperate to spend a last few hours with Amy, Tracy tells her that she needn't go to school and instead they'll have a duvet day. Tracy hugs Amy tight, telling her how much she loves her.

When Ken arrives home announcing that the police have found Rob's murder weapon, Tracy jumps in Ken's car and makes her getaway. As Ken realises with horror that Tracy is in contact with Rob and has clearly chosen him over her own daughter, Tracy meets up with Rob. Rob is relieved to see her and after telling her how much he loves her, he suggests they leave straight away.

Meanwhile, as Eileen continues to ignore Todd, Roy offers him some advice and suggests it's time he ended the rift with family and friends. When hooligans later hurl eggs at the café, Todd rides to the rescue, chases them off and helps Roy clear up the mess. As Roy thanks Todd for his kindness, Tyrone and Fiz are impressed to hear about his good deed.

Elsewhere, Maria moans to Audrey about Luke, ranking him arrogant and selfish, but it's clear to Audrey that she fancies him. In The Rovers, Luke apologises to Maria and suggests they start again. With an obvious spark between them, will Maria agree?

Also today, Yasmeen tries to drum up interest in the first aid course she is running at the community centre. Izzy agrees to go and Katy finds herself pressganged into it.

Friday 7th November
7:30

n an attempt to build bridges, Todd offers to take Eileen, Jason and Eva out for dinner. At first Eileen refuses, but when Roy tells her about Todd's heroic efforts, she agrees to cut him some slack and meet for dinner.

Todd is pleased and orders champagne as he arrives at the Bistro. However, when Jason warns Eileen that she shouldn't believe a word Todd says as he'll only break her heart again, she does a u-turn. Downbeat Todd walks alone in a darkened side street, where he is set upon and mugged by a bunch of youths.

Meanwhile, after a sleepless night, Tracy feels terrible. But has she said goodbye to her own daughter or the man she loves?

Elsewhere, after a successful parents evening, Anna and Tim are proud of Faye. Having agreed to run the school Christmas auction, Tim is secretly fearful, knowing he'll be required to read from a script.

Also, Izzy, Katy, Alya, Beth and Kirk attend Yasmeen's first aid course. Yasmeen introduces Mark, the first aider, and the girls are instantly smitten. Once the course is over, Katy makes out that she has some questions. She is thrilled when Mark suggests he answers them over a drink.

8:30

As Todd lies battered and semi-conscious, a passer-by calls an ambulance. The police contact Eileen and Jason, explaining that he is in hospital after suffering a vicious assault.

Eileen and Jason are horrified at Todd's injuries. Wracked with guilt and blaming herself for abandoning him, Eileen tells Todd how sorry she is for letting him down.

Meanwhile, Cilla cooks a lovely meal for Fiz, Tyrone, Chesney, Sinead, Beth and Kirk. Chesney thaws towards his mum and invites her to stay with them at Number 5.

Elsewhere, Tim confesses to Anna that he is illiterate and has to find a way of getting out of the school auction. Anna offers to help him learn to read and gives him a sympathetic hug. Sally watches, intrigued. When she quizzes Tim about his hug with Anna, how will Tim explain?

Also, in the Bistro, Mark regales Katy with heroic tales of his time as a paramedic. Katy is enthralled, but is she interested in Mark or his job?
