As Ken and Tracy prepare for Deirdre's funeral, the tension between them is palpable. Tracy does her best to comfort Ken but he shuns her atttentions leaving Tracy hurt and taken aback by his sharpness. The residents watch as the funeral cortege sets off, deeply moved. Through the hearse window, Tracy's shocked to spot Robert Preston in the crowd. In the church, Emily recognises Robert as Tracy's ex-husband. Deirdre's funeral takes places and, as the congregation sing, Tracy sobs uncontrollably for her mum. Emily delivers a bible reading.
Sarah sees Bethany off to school. Callum invites Sarah to an afternoon house party but Sarah declines, off to work. However, Bethany skives off school and heads to the Dog and Gun where she knocks back cider and invites herself to the party. When Sarah gets a call from school to say Bethany didn't turn up, will Sarah suss what she's up to?

Robert follows Tracy out to the graveyard and explains how he saw Deirdre's obituary in the paper and wanted to pay his respects. Steve persuades Tracy to return to the service or she'll regret it for the rest of her life. Ken begins his eulogy as Tracy rejoins the congregation. While talking of his love for Deirdre, Ken takes another swipe at a devastated Tracy. Feeling rejected by Ken, Tracy can't face the wake and heads home. Robert calls at No.1. In desperate need of some company, Tracy invites him in. Robert tells Tracy how he's never stopped thinking about her and Tracy kisses him. How will Ken react when he returns home to find Tracy in a passionate clinch with her ex-husband?
Callum tells Bethany she's not going to any house parties, she's going to sober up and he'll make out he found her in the Trafford Centre and will run her home. Bethany attempts to blackmail Callum, suggesting that if he'll pay for her to go on holiday, she'll keep quiet about the fact he plied her with alcohol all afternoon.
Unable to face going to the funeral, Carla spends the afternoon in a casino.
David suggests to Kylie they should have a family holiday. Kylie is thrilled. Upset that his Dad didn't turn up at the funeral, Simon takes out his bad mood on Ken and Leanne.

Ken rages at Tracy, pointing out how her years of appalling behaviour took their toll on Deirdre and she spent her final weeks at Bev's because she was so ashamed of Tracy's affair with Tony. Tracy reels. Ken and Tracy exchange insults, each blaming the other for the grief they caused Deirdre over the years. They're interrupted by the arrival of Peter. Apologising for missing the funeral, Peter explains his train was delayed. Tracy turns on Peter, accusing him of causing Deirdre many a sleepless night, before railing at Ken and Peter, claiming they're equally responsible for Deirdre's death. Will they accept this? And will Tracy accept Peter's request that for Amy's sake she needs to change her life around?
At Deirdre's wake, Liz pours everyone a glass and they raise a toast in Deirdre's memory. After years of hostility, will Audrey and Bev patch up their differences?
Liz wonders why Leanne was so hostile towards Dan at the funeral. Liz questions Eileen about her feelings towards Michael.

In an attempt to make amends, Tracy sets about making breakfast for Ken and Peter. She then calls in the factory and tries to build bridges with Carla, explaining how Deirdre's death has made her think. Meanwhile, Tracy is shocked when Tony's henchmen barge into Barlow's Buys and demand money he owes them from Tracy and they turn menacing. Tracy is relieved when Robert enters the shop and comes to her rescue, sending them packing. But while Tracy thanks Robert over a coffee, Robert's mobile rings. He masks his concern, painting on a smile and, admitting to Tracy how he's never stopped loving her and that seeing her again has only served to heighten his feelings.
Dan approaches Leanne and, slamming her against her front door, threatens to ruin her life if she breathes a word about his past to Liz. Sarah watches on.
Gary calls at No.6 and, getting down on one knee, proposes to Alya again and plants a ring on her finger. They're shocked to realise Sharif has witnessed the scene. How will Alya's family react to news of Gary's proposal and, awash with guilt, will Alya finally tell Gary about her one night stand with Jason?
When Peter drops the bombshell on Simon that he's got a new job with a charter boat company working in the Caribbean, Simon is devastated. After Peter heads off to start his new life, Simon takes his anger out on Leanne. Carla suggests another poker night but the lads refuse, telling her to cut her losses and forget it. Carla is annoyed.

Michelle tells Carla that Roy's worried about her and reckons she's drinking too much and not been sleeping. Michelle suggests a shopping spree but, emptying the petty cash tin, Carla cancels her shopping trip with Michelle and heads to the casino. On a winning streak, Carla gambles all her chips and loses the lot. Returning home from her disastrous gambling spree, Carla vents her anger on Roy and Cathy. How will Roy react as she calls Cathy a gold-digger and tells Roy that she's no replacement for Hayley.
When Liz quizzes Dan about Leanne, having heard about their altercation, he lies, making out he hasn't seen her. Still suspicious, Liz calls in the bistro where she asks Leanne how she and Dan know each other.
Tracy cleans the kitchen and announces she's going to bake a cake. Ken is taken aback.
Nick assures Leanne that Simon is just lashing out because he's upset about his Grandma and Peter's departure. Leanne masks her concerns as Simon continues to verbally abuse her at home.

Roy demands an apology but Carla remains unrepentant and storms out of the cafe slamming the door. As Roy mulls over Carla's accusations, Cathy assures him they've done nothing wrong but Roy's less convinced and Cathy leaves hurt. Alone with Michelle, Carla admits how unhappy she is, how she blames herself for the fire and how she regrets her spiteful comments to Roy. Michelle advises her to get away for a few weeks but Carla first returns to the cafe and apologises to Roy for her harsh words.
Leanne explains to Liz how Dan used to be a client of hers when she was on the game and he once beat her up. Horrified, Liz storms round to see Dan, who is enjoying a celebratory drink after a meeting. In front of his boss and daughter, she accuses him of beating up prostitutes. Lucy looks at her Dad, appalled. Telling him she never wants to clap eyes on him again, Liz throws Dan out. Though Liz thanks Leanne for telling her the truth, Leanne admits her biggest fear now is that Dan might carry out his threat to tell Simon about her sordid past. As Dan lurks in the shadows, staring up at Leanne's flat, is that his plan?
At the Eid celebrations, Gary and Alya announce their engagement.
Tracy's pleased to receive a text from Robert. Pointing out he's had enough junk food, Leanne tries to take Simon's chocolate bar from him but Simon lashes out.
