Corrie are scraping the bottom of the barrel. And funny how Leanne never got pregnant during her relationships with Peter (after her miscarriage), Nick or Kal.

http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/coro...line-revealed/

And why make Steve try and get Leanne to terminate the pregnancy? Not good treatment of a character who was given a sympathetic depression storyline. Blackburn is really working at destroying liked characters before he leaves.

What a ridiculous storyline I find it hard to believe Steve and Michelle would split over Will (Steve knows how lucky he is to have her). Steve and Leanne's one night stand, maybe - but for her to get pregnant despite not doing so with any previous partner is going too far

Yeah it's the pregnancy that's unbelievable, given Leanne was told after the miscarriage that she probably wouldn't get pregnant!!
Steve being unfaithful is just par for the course, I don't think he's been faithful to any of his many partners ever!!

Why the uproar of Leanne finding herself 'pregnant'? Doctors say a lot of things, and usually the impossible happens. It's a soap and Corrie after all..........standards have slipped.

However, not sure if Leanne's character will improve with a baby. I guess this could be one way to reintroduce Toyah/Janice, for extra support.

Can't imagine for the life of me why Steve has been unfaithful. I'm guessing this is all done to present Michelle as someone whiter than white. Frankly their relationship is unbelievable and I welcome a break up.

Quite. There was terrific acting at that time from Jane Danson.

And - a long-term relationship for Steve and Leanne, maybe, they have known one another for many years, but a one night stand? No way.

Leanne never got pregnant when she was "on the game".
An old pro like her would never get knocked up on a one night stand.

She has not been in a relationship for quite a while so is probably not on the pill, when she was on the game she would have been covered to the hilt, lol

I have a couple of friends who were told they would never be able to conceive.

One had an ectopic pregnancy and lost a fallopian tube - Leanne has a blocked one - she stopped contraception and became pregnant two years later. The other had treatment for cervical cancer which was caught early so she remained intact, but was told the treatment made her infertile so never used contraception. She conceived soon after they'd started the process to adopt.

It happens.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come under Kate Oates. I would've preferred a pregnancy story for Eva with Leanne's inner turmoil of never conceiving explored. Leanne would meet someone and become a mother figure to his kids.

Michelle and Steve would be strengthened through the suicide of Ryan. Michelle would then become transfixed on conceiving a baby in the midst of her grief.

No more cheating, affairs and wrongful imprisonments. The story team need a big shake-up. The show is so stale and stagnant.

http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/04/corona...urder-5922784/ This is the dramatic moment in Coronation Street that sees the tension between Jason Grimshaw and David Platt spill over into a dramatic punch up as Jason fears that he is being framed for the murder of Callum Logan.

Kylie washed the wrench and put it in Tony's tool bag. The police search the builders yard for the bag, but Jason has it at home. Phelan takes the bag and hides it under the floorboard of the Nazir's house so Jason has something to be grateful for.

What's with the hiding things under the floor - John Stape hid a body under the factory floor, Callum was under the Platt's garage floor and now Tony's toolbag goes under the Nazir's floor?

You don't fancy becoming the scriptwriter do you ?

I'm sick of the cheating/affairs etc too. It's a default setting for a quick bit of sensationalism. Thing is, it's done so regularly now it's lost all it's impetus.

It's a cop out as far as storytelling goes.

Sunday 12th June 2016 7:30 One Hour

Over breakfast, Steve and Michelle continue to row. When Amy overhears Michelle telling Steve they need to talk but it's difficult with her around, she becomes upset. Tracy finds Amy cuddling Eccles in the backyard. Amy reveals how unwanted she feels and reminds Tracy how she was always palming her off on Emily as child. Tracy storms into the pub and accuses Steve and Michelle of making Amy feel unwanted. While they argue, Amy runs away. Michelle finds Amy at the bus stop and persuades her to come home. Sick of all the fighting, is this the final straw for Michelle?

When Billy tries to apologise to Sean for bailing out on their lunch, Sean tells him he's dumped and closes the door in his face. Billy is shocked. Clearly upset, Sean confronts Todd and accuses him of having an affair with Billy. Todd explains he was only comforting Billy because he was upset after finding his brother unconscious in the ginnel. No longer able to deny it, Billy explains to Sean how his brother is a drug addict and, ashamed of all the lies he's told, he tells Sean he deserves better and he's right to end their relationship. Sean is stunned. Billy calls at No.11 and confesses to Todd that he has finished with Sean because he's fallen for him.

Nick confides in Leanne how much he misses Carla. Leanne urges him to look to the future. Realising she's right, Nick suggests they meet for lunch. In the bistro, he knocks back the wine and causes a scene in front of the other diners. Robert begs Leanne to get him under control but Leanne refuses, pointing out Nick has every right to be angry at the way Robert has treated him.

Tim enlists Craig's help to get the last batch of beer bottled and the conservatory tidied up before Sally returns from London. When Sally gets home, she's horrified to find her conservatory swimming in ale. When a beer keg explodes, soaking her new outfit, Sally turns on Tim ordering him to clear up the mess. Sophie cunningly suggests she should buy a summer house then Tim could use it for his brewing and she could get one up on Yasmeen.

Elsewhere, as the congregation file out of church, Marion introduces herself to Billy and asks him if he'd conduct Callum's funeral. Kevin, Anna, Izzy and Gary agree to start afresh and enjoy a day out at the Red Rec.

Clearly agitated, Jason explains to Todd and Phelan that the police have been searching Tony's flat when, to his mind, they should be focusing on David Platt. Jason marches into the salon and accuses Kylie and Audrey of covering up for David when they know he murdered Callum. In the Rovers, David lays into Jason telling him to stop harassing his family and Steve steps in to prevent a fight. The police search the builders' yard for the murder weapon. When they quiz Jason, he fails to mention Tony's tool bag stored at No.11. Kylie assures David she washed the murder weapon thoroughly and replaced it in Tony's tool bag. At No.11, Jason stares at Tony's tool bag and admits to Phelan that it might contain the murder weapon.

Gary, Anna and Erica arrive at the magistrates' court for Izzy's trial. When the prosecution cross-questions Izzy, she loses her temper and tells the court she has no regrets; she needs cannabis to lead a normal life and the police officer deserved all he got.

Michelle admits to Maria that she wishes she'd never stormed out and hopes that Steve will take her back. Michelle supervises the removal men as they pack up Carla's furniture and hatches a plan to try to win Steve round. Hoping Steve will ask her to move back in, Michelle calls at the Rovers and fills a box with some bits and pieces that she needs. Steve remains frosty, but offers to carry the box round to Carla's flat for her later.

In the factory, lovesick Sean laments the fact he's lost Billy. Eva is sympathetic while Alya urges him to try to win Billy back.

Jason demands Todd tell him the truth about Tony. Todd sticks to his story, that Tony confessed to Callum's murder and he believed him. With Jason out of the way, Phelan removes Tony's tool bag from No.11 and hides it under the floorboards at the Nazirs'. When Sarah suggests she'd like to attend Callum's funeral as it might help her move on, Billy's adamant that it's a terrible idea. Jason returns home to find the police there - they know what kind of weapon was used in the murder. Clocking the missing tool bag, Jason panics but Phelan shoots him a reassuring glance.

Izzy, Gary, Anna and Erica wait with baited breath as the magistrate delivers the verdict. When Izzy is found guilty and released on bail pending sentencing, Izzy looks at Gary, horrified. Having returned home, Anna tells Izzy that from now on she has her total support. However, Gary tears a strip off Izzy pointing out her principles could land her in prison.

Steve calls at Carla's flat with Michelle's box of bits. Michelle persuades him to stay and talk but their conversation soon descends into another row and Steve heads out, fed up. Michelle kicks herself, wishing she'd never left in the first place.

Kate and Maria enjoy a belly dancing class at the gym. When jealous Caz suggests to Kate that she's suddenly become very pally with Maria, Kate is annoyed and tells her to get a grip. Sean begs Billy to give him another chance before asking Todd to speak to Billy for him. Conflicted by his own feelings, Todd advises him to give Billy some space.

When Bethany asks Sarah to help her with her exam revision, Sarah stares into space. Bethany is hurt. Kylie suggests to Max he might want to attend his Dad's funeral but Max refuses. Against the family's advice, Sarah sets off for Callum's funeral. In a panic, David tells Todd that Sarah's gone to the funeral, which can only be bad news. Todd agrees to fetch her back. Nervous, Billy prepares for the funeral. Lee appears at the back of the church and begs Billy for money but Billy refuses. Marion places a photo of Callum next to his coffin. The pressure becomes too much for Billy and he hurries from the pulpit. Todd finds Billy and orders him to get on with the service for Marion's sake. Marion thanks Sarah for coming and suggests that she'd like to be involved in Harry and Max's lives. Sarah gazes blankly at her. Lee watches from a distance. In the Rovers, Lee approaches Sarah and introduces himself.

Phelan and Jason set off in the van. Phelan notices the yard gates are unlocked. Forming a plan, he phones a mate and instructs him to steal the conservatory glass that's earmarked for the Nazirs. Jason and Phelan arrive back at the yard to discover the glass has gone. Phelan acts surprised whilst Jason blames himself for failing to lock up.

When Cathy opens a card from Nessa, she is shocked to read that she's moving to Bali until Christmas. Alex insists he's not bothered. Egged on by his mate Jordan, Alex pulls a sickie, making out to Cathy that he's actually really upset about his mum. Cathy gives him the afternoon off. When Alex shows Gemma a video of him racing cars with Jordan, he fails to notice Cathy peering over his shoulder. Cathy berates Alex for driving illegally and orders Jordan out.

On Sally's orders, Tim sets about building a summerhouse in the garden and enlists the help of Craig. Sally returns home and is appalled at the wonky summerhouse. Sharif and Yasmeen watch in amusement as she drags Tim inside for a dressing down. Bethany confides in Craig that she walked out of her exam. Kylie and Max plant a tree on the Red Rec to commemorate Callum's life. Sean finds Billy upset in the Rovers and suggests they could start again.

Why are all the females who are pregnant in soaps all under 12 or over 50? why can't we have some normal, happy pregnancies?

Really looking forward to these scenes!! After a highly unconvincing first few months of Sarah's return, Tina has been BRILLIANT in recent weeks, the only one of he Platts who seems to be behaving as you would expect in the cirumstances!!

I agree, the first few months of her return were terrible, but she knocked it out the park in the live episode and has continued to do so. This stuff sounds really good.
