Frank's trial begins. Carla is unnerved by his composure but bolstered by Peter's presence and she's determined that justice will be done. In the witness box, Carla's emotional as she tells the court how Frank raped her. When she's questioned by Frank's defence lawyer about her relationship with Peter, Carla's uncomfortable but insists they're just friends. With Anne and Sally waiting for the bombshell of Carla and Peter's affair to be revealed, will Frank's barrister use Trish's photographic evidence to expose them?
With Steve and Tracy now living together at no. 13, Tracy's determined to prove to Steve that they can work things out but is this what Steve wants?
When Milton insists on visiting Roy's famous restaurant, Sylvia panics and lies that he runs the Bistro. Milton's impressed by the Bistro but when it becomes clear that Roy isn't the owner, will Sylvia be forced to confess he owns only a humble cafe?
Jason fumes as Paul appears for breakfast again, but Julie makes it clear to her sister that she'll be there for her when it all goes pear-shaped!

Frank's trial continues with Maria in the witness stand. She gives a compelling account of the night Frank pounced on her but when cross-examined, she gets a rough ride. Next up in the box it's Peter who's questioned closely about his relationship with Carla. Frank's barrister accuses them of having an affair and suggests it's still going on. Peter hotly denies the allegation but taking her cue Anne gets out the photo of Peter and Carla kissing and passes it to Leanne in the gallery. Will Frank get the reaction he's hoping for?
Tracy's devastated as Steve tells her he never loved her and is still in love with Becky. But when Deirdre advises him that no matter what Tracy's done, he should be thinking of Amy he comes to a decision.
Sylvia's forced to show Milton the cafe. He enthuses about Roy's retro diner. Ever the businessman, Milton can see an opportunity for expansion but is Roy on the same wavelength?
Brian has a difficult meeting with the chair of the school governors. Results have been terrible and if he doesn't do something he's out of a job. Brian reveals he's got a plan but has he? Paul talks to Jason man to man.

As Anne, Sally and Frank head off for a celebratory drink, convinced the jury will take Frank's side now they've exposed Carla and Peter's lies, a devastated Leanne pours her heart out to Stella. As she reveals it was a drunken Carla who ran her over, not Frank, Stella's shocked.
Peter finally tracks Leanne down and tells her sorry he is for everything. Leanne's in bits as it dawns on her how many times Peter's lied to her about meeting his alcohol counsellor when really he was with Carla. But she calms down and starts to wonder if they can salvage their marriage. Pointing out how Peter forgave her for her affair with Nick, she suggests in time perhaps she can forgive him in return. Peter insists he does love Leanne but he's in love with Carla and what they have is different. However, with the future of his family at stake and a devastated Simon to think of, will Peter accept Leanne's forgiveness or is this the end of the line?

As Peter comes to terms with his life-changing decision, Carla heads back to court to endure the rest of Frank's trial. She's buoyed when Peter arrives but has he got the news for her that she so badly desires? Meanwhile, Frank gives his evidence and lies through his teeth, painting himself as the victim. The judge ends his summing up by reminding the jury they can only convict if they are sure of Carla's evidence. As they await the verdict Carla's anxious. Emotions run high when the verdict is finally delivered.
When Steve gives Tracy some cash to go shopping she thinks he's thawing. However, with Tracy out of the way, he ushers Owen into no. 13 to carry out his work. Arriving home Tracy's horrified to see that Steve has had the house converted into two self-contained flats. Steve's delighted as he puts his cunning plan into action.
When Rosie needs rushing to a meeting, Jason sneaks her into the work's van and tells Owen he's off to the wholesalers. Rosie's thrilled when she lands the gig as the new face of Road Safety for the North West and thanks Jason with a steamy snog.
A worried Brian tells Julie he's got 3 months to improve school results or he's out on his ear. But has he got a plan yet? How will Roy react when Milton suggests they turn Roy's Rolls into a railway themed restaurant and open a chain across the globe?

As the courtroom reacts to the verdict, Carla just wants to get away. Back on the street Stella's still troubled by the revelation that it was Carla who ran her over, not Frank. Confronting Carla about how much she's hurt Leanne, Stella reveals she also knows she lied about the crash and no longer believes her about the rape. Carla's shaken.
Tracy is furious about her new living arrangements and complains about the lack of kitchen upstairs. Steve promises her a microwave but furious Tracy threatens to report him to the council as he never obtained planning permission to turn no.13 into flats. Will Steve back down?
As Rosie and Jason kiss passionately in the van the hand brake slips, the van rolls forward and smashes into the car in front. Jason lies to Owen about the dented van, blaming another driver. But when Rosie gleefully tells him that the Gazette is going to run an article about their crash, calling her a 'randy road safety model', Jason panics.
Milton mistakenly thinks the reason Roy isn't keen on his business idea is lack of funds and tells Sylvia that's easily solved. After a meeting with the board of governors Brian plans to introduce his new healthy eating initiative throughout the school.
