Sunday 8 July 19.30 2012

It's Leanne and Nick's turn to host a birthday party for Simon at the Bistro. Carla's dreading it since Peter's adamant he won't have Nick playing daddy again. Nick has pulled out all the stops with an entertainer for the kids and Peter's riled. When he then hands over a surprise present, a laptop, the red mist descends and Peter accuses Nick of trying to upstage him. Nick denies it but when he says Peter's behaving like a child, Peter loses his cool and punches Nick. Simon cries and Leanne has had enough and comes to a shock decision.

With Kevin wanting to move into no.13 ASAP, Steve tells Tracy and Beth he wants them out of the house. But claiming they have rights, the women say they need at least a month's notice. With a hefty repair bill to pay for Lloyd's sabotaged cabs, Steve needs the house sale and offers the girls £1k if they're out within 24 hours. Will Tracy finally admit defeat?

Anna's puzzled as Faye drags her feet about going to Simon's birthday party. There, the bully picks on her again and as the nasty texts and Facebook messages continue, Faye takes her upset out on Anna.

Izzy and Gary tell Anna and Owen their news. How will they react?

Monday 9 July 19.30 2012

A still seething Peter takes Carla's advice and heads to the bistro to attempt to apologise for hitting Nick. Sick of the whole situation, Leanne stuns him when she reveals her plan to move away from Weatherfield with Nick and take Simon with them. Enraged by Leanne's news, Peter seeks out Carla, who is busy at the factory. Carla asks Peter if they can talk about this later but this only angers Peter further and he verbally launches into Carla, accusing her of putting her work before Simon. As Peter continues to rant at Carla, a mysterious man enters the factory and pins Peter up against the wall, ordering him to lay off Carla. Peter is stunned when a shaken Carla reveals the true identity of the man now stood before them.

A troubled Faye throws her new trainers in the bin and then lies to Anna that she must have lost them. Anna attempts to confide her worries about Faye's recent behaviour to Owen but he is clearly distracted and in no mood to listen. Owen's bad mood is later clearly demonstrated when he snaps at Gary as he excitedly tells his boss how much he is looking forward to being a dad. Izzy attempts to talk to Owen about her pregnancy but is stunned by his reaction. Will Owen reveal his true feelings about his fears for Izzy's future?

Spurred on by Steve's cash offer, Beth is delighted when she beats Tracy to it and secures a rental agreement on a nearby flat. A miffed Tracy is forced to ask Ken and Deirdre to take her back but when Ken refuses to have her, Emily steps in and offers a grateful Tracy a room.

Roy snubs Hayley's dance class presentation evening to play chess with Mary.

Monday 9 July 20,30 2012

Leaving Carla to catch up with her ex jailbird brother Rob, Peter finds Nick alone at the Bistro but fails to talk him out of his plan to leave with Leanne and Simon. Seeking but not receiving support from his father, an increasingly angry Peter soon finds himself berating Ken, vowing that he would never abandon Simon as Ken abandoned Peter years ago. Elsewhere, Carla takes Rob to the cafe but gives him short shrift, refusing to accept his spell in prison for armed robbery had anything to do with her and angering him when she offers him money, hoping he will disappear again. Upset by Carla's attitude, Rob storms out. Meanwhile, feeling the world is against him, Peter turns on Carla, informing her that the most important person in his life is Simon, but with the turmoil of her brother's reappearance will Carla listen to Peter's self pity?

Owen explains his concerns over Izzy's ability to become a parent. His views upset both Gary and Izzy and they fail to see how her disability make her any less of a mother. Defending his girlfriend, and believing noone else shares Owen's point of view, Gary squares up to him. Has Owen's attitude served to alienate his family and friends? Meanwhile, how will Anna react when she discovers Faye's new trainers dumped in the bin?

Tracy and Amy move into Emily's but, having overheard Norris telling Emily how he is nervous about having a convicted murderer in the house, an amused Tracy sets about winding him up.

Hayley is slightly put out when Roy extols the virtues of his new friendship with Mary.

Wednesday 11 July 2012
Peter starts the day in a positive mood, he vows to Carla he'll smooth things over with Leanne in order to spend some time with Simon. But when Leanne and Nick refuse Peter's request, not wanting to upset Simon's routine, it's not long before a disconsolate Peter reaches for the bottle. Meanwhile, when Rob arrives at the factory to tell Carla about the business qualifications he undertook whilst inside, she relents and gives him a job at the factory on a trial basis. But later with Carla out of the office he oversteps the mark with a client, losing Underworld a vital order and infuriating his sister. Carla returns home in a foul mood and when she finds Peter at home drunk she finally cracks.

Anna is shocked to receive a call from Brian, Faye's headmaster, informing her that Faye has been skiving lessons. Anna is distraught and can't understand Faye's recent strange behaviour but when she later catches Faye on her laptop looking at a web page ridiculing her for being adopted it all becomes clear. Anna realises Faye is being bullied by her so called school friend Lindsay. Anna consoles Faye telling her she will report the bullying but Faye doesn't want Anna to take any action and warns Anna she will never speak to her again if she does. Faye's threat leaves Anna in despair.

Emily is happy having Tracy stay with her despite Norris's protestations. However, when an angry Beth barges her way into the house accusing Tracy of stealing her lipstick and threatening to punch Tracy, will Emily begin to wonder if she has made the right decision allowing Tracy to move in?

Tyrone and Kirsty return from the Lakes all loved up.

Thursday 12 July 2012
When Carla returns to the flat hoping to make up with Peter, she finds him drunk and quickly realises it's over between them. Peter heads out after telling Carla to pack her belongings and leave. He mistakenly believes with Carla out of the picture, that he could rekindle things with Leanne so he tracks her down at the Bistro and drunkenly puts his idea to her. Leanne, tired of Peter's erratic behaviour, viciously points out that he can't come crawling back to her. A broken Peter heads towards the Rovers. Ken steers him away but he shuns his father's offer of help and heads off alone, believing his life to be worthless.

Having persuaded Faye that she must report Lindsay's bullying, a determined Anna shows headmaster Brian the evidence of Lindsay's campaign against her adopted daughter. But Brian seems perturbed when he realises the identity of Faye's tormentor and tells a bemused Anna it will blow over. He later calls Anna back into school and suspends Faye for fighting with Lindsay, and it's an outraged Anna who takes decisive action to ensure Faye's safety. Why is Brian seemingly reluctant to deal with bully Lindsay?

An excited Tyrone invites Tommy and Tina round to look at his holiday pictures from his trip to the Lakes with Kirsty. It's a pleasant if boring evening for Tina and Tommy as Tyrone enthuses about what a great time they had with but his enthusiasm is dampened when an angry Kirsty snaps at Tyrone for showing his friends the photos. Tina and Tommy hurriedly leave and Tyrone is once again left walking on eggshells and wondering what he has done to anger Kirsty so much.

Michelle brings Rob up to speed on Carla's recent troubles and Marcus feels it's a little cramped with him, Maria, Liam and Kirk all living under the same roof.

Friday 13 July 2012
With Peter having gone AWOL, a worried Leanne agrees to help Ken search for his troubled son. Carla informs the pair of a desperate voicemail message Peter has left on her phone and their fears for his safety rise. When their frantic search for Peter proves fruitless, Ken and Leanne decide it's time to report him missing to the police. When the police inform them that a body matching Peter's description has been pulled from the canal, Ken and Leanne fear the worst.

Kevin and Tommy mock Tyrone for being under Kirsty's thumb. He tries to defend her controlling ways, blaming her hormones, but it's clear their jibes have hit a nerve. Later, when Fiz's boiler breaks down it's a chivalrous Tyrone who offers to mend it. Tyrone is still at Fiz's house when Kirsty is taken unwell in the cafe, suffering pains in her stomach. When an increasingly worried Kirsty fails to alert Tyrone to her predicament it's left to Anna to take her to the medical centre.

Angry at the situation with Faye, Owen tracks down Brian and berates him for failing to sort out Lindsay, the school bully. Anna also makes her feelings about Brian's lack of action clear to Julie. When questioned later, Brian reveals to Julie that Lindsay is the granddaughter of the school's head of governors.

Rob makes amends when he successfully renegotiates the lost Underworld contract and, buoyed by his success, flirts with Eva in the Rovers.

Friday 13 July 2012
A shell shocked Ken and Leanne face the ordeal of identifying the body lying in the police morgue. Both are relieved when the corpse is not Peter. When the good news filters back to the street, a relieved Carla is comforted by Rob. Leanne comes to terms with the fact that Peter is still missing. Her world is rocked further when she arrives at school with Nick to collect Simon to be told that Simon was taken home by Peter. Leanne leaves Peter a fraught phone message demanding to know where Simon is but when she receives no reply her mood darkens.

Kirsty's panic is allayed when Dr. Carter confirms Anna's suspicions that Kirsty was suffering from Braxton Hicks and all is well with her and the baby. However, Kirsty's happiness is short-lived when she discovers Tyrone did not respond to her calls as he was helping old flame Fiz. Tyrone's peace-making efforts fail to placate an enraged Kirsty, as she flings the meal he has prepared against the kitchen wall and erupts about his poor treatment of her. A vicious row ensues and is heard by Eileen and Sean next door.

Finally facing up to his responsibilities, Brian alerts school governor Meredith to her Granddaughter's bullying of Faye. Marcus bonds with flatmate Kirk when he cooks Kirk's favourite meal and Rob continues to get on well with the factory workers.

Yet he was fine living at eileens with Eileen, Jason, Sean, Fireman & Mrs Fireman. And Rosie was there at one point too

Marcus had his own bedroom at Eileen's. He won't have at Maria's, he can only sleep on the sofa. And it's a flat not a house so less space overall. He's need to go and find his own place. He should just move in over the shop.

The spoilers about Tracy at Emily's sound hilarious. As do the Hayley/Roy/Mary ones.

Sean's determined not to let Marcus know he's gutted that he's staying around and lies that Julie's setting him up on a hot date. However when Marcus comes into the pub with Aiden it's Sean that's heartbroken.

Karl (John Michie) and Sunita (Shobna Gulati) will give in to temptation yet again later this month, but it appears that they have played with fire once too often when Stella walks in and catches them in a compromising position!

Coronation Street airs the big scenes in a few weeks' time.

This time, there's no room for excuses or explanations - so how will Stella and Dev react to the shocking truth about Karl and Sunita?

Carla's never been trustworthy either, they are perfect for each other! It's like a contest who can be the most selfish and self pitying.

Another person to whom Carla offers money to go away.

And the media don't always get facts right, as we know:
"It’s rumoured that next to catch his eye is Eva’s mother Stella, played by Michelle Collins, whose son Ryan ................... ."

As Ryan settles back into Weatherfield life, he soon causes more havoc in the area - leading to disapproval from those around him.

Michelle tries to get tough with her wayward son, but he sparks more trouble by getting drunk at the Rovers Return and picking a fight with Carla's brother Rob (Marc Baylis). Will Michelle be pushed to the edge by Ryan's behaviour?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, July 18 at 7.30pm and Friday, July 20 at 8.30pm on ITV1

"When Marcus offers to cook Kirk a meal of his choice, Kirk misreads the situation" - oops

"Then Carla tells Rob she's going to run away with Peter and to look after the factory, but he warns she's playing a dangerous game" - Carla's feisty character has changed.
Peter's character reverted to normal.

"Ryan tries to kiss Sophie. How will she react?"

Sunday 15 July 7:30pm

Having spent the night in a B&B, Peter tells Simon they're going on an adventure together. Simon's worried and tells Peter he just wants Leanne. Back on the street, Ken and Leanne report Simon missing to the police as Peter phones Carla and begs her to meet him. Carla obliges and Peter urges her to give him another chance. Carla reminds him of all the horrible things he said and points out he also tried to persuade Leanne to have him back. Peter promises it was only a desperate attempt to get Simon back and he's never stopped loving her. How will Carla react when Peter tells her his plans to flee the country with Simon?

Tyrone is cold towards Kirsty while he clears up the broken glass from her rampage. Kirsty tries to apologise for her outburst but Tyrone blanks her. Eileen tells Tommy how she heard Tyrone and Kirsty rowing and things being smashed against the wall. Tommy drags Tyrone out for a drink and tells him how Eileen heard the row. Will Tyrone confide in Tommy about Kirsty's abuse?

When Marcus offers to cook Kirk another meal of his choice, Kirk misreads the situation and thinks Marcus has got the hots for him. Kirk tells Marcus that much as he enjoyed their dinner together, he doesn't fancy him. Marcus assures Kirk he needn't worry. Marcus and Maria are highly amused.

Rob finally wins Eva round and they head off into town on a date. Anna decides to throw a barbeque to celebrate the end of Faye's bullying trauma. She persuades Gary and Izzy to come along too. At the barbeque, Izzy and Owen finally make up and Owen promises he has faith in her ability to be a good mother.

Monday 16 July 7:30pm

Peter tells Simon they're going on an adventure; they're going by boat to Lanzarote and then on to the Caribbean. Simon's worried and Carla tries to talk Peter out of his plan to abduct Simon but his mind is made up. Meanwhile at the factory, Rob's pleased as he tells Carla he's bagged a big order. However when Carla tells him she's going to run away with Peter and she'd like him to step in and look after the factory, Rob's concerned, warning Carla she's playing a dangerous game. But Carla's made her decision and when Peter asks her to pick up his and Simon's passports from the flat she agrees. Peter breathes a sigh of relief. Simon phones Leanne and tells her he's scared because Peter's taking him away on a boat. A panicked Peter grabs the phone. Desperate, Leanne quizzes Carla about Peter's whereabouts. She denies all knowledge but a suspicious Leanne and Michelle follow Carla into Peter's flat.

When Jason moans to Tommy and Tina about how he's fed up with being single, they hatch a plan with Marcus to get Jason and Maria back together. But when Marcus tells Maria he's invited Tina, Tommy and Jason for dinner will she become suspicious?

Tyrone apologises to Kirsty for not being there when she thought she was going into labour. He promises that in future, he'll phone her every hour. Michelle is thrilled when Ryan calls and says he's coming home. Hayley's put out when Roy refuses to come and watch her dance class because he's arranged to play chess with Mary.

Monday 16 July 8:30pm

Carla's furious with Michelle for siding with Leanne but Michelle insists she only has Carla's best interests at heart. Leanne begs Carla not to let Peter take Simon away and threatens to call the police. Peter and Simon wait for Carla in the station cafe. Peter spots Carla on the platform but as he and Simon make their way over, Peter's horrified to see Leanne there too. Peter's furious with Carla but Carla points out the futility of their plan and how they'd never have got a way with it. Leanne gives Peter an ultimatum; they let Simon decide who he wants to live with or she's calling the police. Peter's forced to agree, begging Simon to come with him on the trip of lifetime. Simon makes his choice...who will board the train?

Tommy, Tina and Jason go for dinner with Marcus at Maria's flat. One by one they make their excuses to leave until Maria and Jason are left alone. Maria realises her mates have tried to set her up with Jason.

Roy and Mary play chess together and it's evident that Mary is developing feelings for Roy and when he compliments her, Mary's giddy with happiness.

Wednesday 18 July 7:30pm

Sophie talks Steve into paying her to clean No.13 ready for Kevin moving in. But when Ryan arrives back from university and finds Sophie cleaning he insists she downs tools and shares a few cans with him. They're having a laugh but Ryan tries to kiss Sophie in the backyard. Meanwhile, back inside, a smouldering match that Ryan has carelessly tossed into a pile of paper has caught light and a fire has started at No.13. Steve, Kevin and Michelle rush over to assess the damage.

When Nick shows a potential buyer round the bistro, Gail tries to scupper the deal. Nick's not happy and Leanne starts to reconsider moving Simon away from his family.

Norris is bemused to find Mary studying a magazine on steam trains. In the cafe Mary steers the conversation round to trains. Roy's impressed and offers to play her some of his steam train records.

Jason swears to Maria he knew nothing about last night's set up and they agree to be friends. Rob gives Eva a job as machinist at Underworld despite her having no experience. The girls are appalled at Eva's lack of sewing skills but when Rob makes light of it and invites Eva out for dinner his motives become clear.

Thursday 19 July 7:30pm

With Ryan now back at home, Michelle lays down the law, telling Ryan he's starting work packing at the factory. Apologising to Steve and Kevin, Michelle promises she'll pay for the fire damage, before telling an unimpressed Ryan that she'll be docking the money to pay for the damage at no.13 from his wages. Kirk shows Ryan the ropes at the factory but when Kirk's back is turned, Ryan stages a fall and pretends he's hurt his back. At the hospital Ryan's given the all clear, however, insisting his back is in agony, he informs Michelle and Rob he's going to sue Underworld for every penny he can get.

Leanne tells Nick and Gail that with Peter away, she plans to run the bookies herself and rent out the flat above. Beth says she'd be interested in renting 19b for her and Craig. Meanwhile, Stella tells Leanne she's delighted she's staying and she'll be there for her when it all turns sour with Nick. Offended, Leanne storms off.

When Eva spots Karl lusting over Sunita she turns on her again, insisting it would be best for everyone if she didn't work at the pub. But when Sunita quits her job and walks out will a surprised Stella smell a rat? Meanwhile, Dev puts pressure on Sunita to set a date for the wedding.

Eva's sewing goes from bad to worse. Tyrone and Fiz plan a baby shower party for Kirsty. When Hayley gets a call to say her Uncle Bert has had a fall Roy insists she go and stay with him for a while. Mary tells Roy, he mustn't be lonely as she'll be there for him.

Friday 20 July 7:30pm

Michelle tries to point out to Ryan that suing his Aunty Carla would be a bad move, but Ryan tells her that's what insurance companies are for. Rob is suspicious about Ryan's injury and reckons he's taking them for a ride but Michelle defends her son, adamant he's not a liar. Rob attempts to talk some sense into Ryan but when he hobbles out, telling Rob he'll see him in court, Rob's furious. Enlisting Eva he hatches a plan to prove there's nothing wrong with Ryan. Eva invites Ryan on a date and flirting with him she probes about his injury.

Dev's delighted to hear Sunita's given up her job at the Rovers and is returning to work at the shop. When Dev then gets a call to say the wedding venue he was after has had a cancellation and they can get married in September, he goes into a state of excitement.

Fiz, Izzy and Tyrone prepare No.9 for Kirsty's baby shower party. Rita and Dennis arrive back from honeymoon. At Tracy's insistence, Leanne interviews her for a job in the bookies. When she fails to get the job she asks Leanne if she can rent the flat instead. But as Beth arrives to collect the keys how will Tracy react to the news that Beth has beaten her to it.

Friday 20 July 8:30pm

Michelle's furious with Ryan for trying to con his own family but Ryan's unrepentant and when she rows with him over his behaviour Ryan tells her he's leaving. Ryan then heads to the Rovers where he proceeds to get drunk before picking a fight with Rob. Steve steps in and giving Ryan a stiff talking to. He marches him home and orders him to apologise to Michelle. But how will Michelle react when Ryan admits he's been kicked out of university?

Dev apologises to Sunita for putting her under pressure and assures her he just wants her to have the perfect wedding. Sunita's wracked with guilt. Seeing Sunita upset, Karl hugs her and assures her if things were different they'd be together.

When Izzy admits how tired she is Gary suggests she gives up work. As the baby shower gets under way, Tyrone and Fiz relax. They're clearly at ease with each other and Kirsty watches them like a hawk, suddenly announcing she's tired and the party's over. As the surprised guests troop out, Tyrone expresses his disappointment. But Kirsty rounds on him demanding to know what's going on with Fiz. Tyrone assures her they're just mates but seeing red will Kirsty accept this?

I actually like the sound of Lloyd's storyline. In principle. He's staying on the show for the foreseeable so he needs a family or love interest. Him being a single man isn't interesting. Bringing a child in for him could make he more layered.
