The DS Apprentice: You're Fired - Week One
Hello all, I'm Val and join me after the big firing when I will be talking to millionaire businessman Amroussi, university student turned music icon MissMJackson and our very own Karren Brady - yes, xxUtdGirl127xx herself. Also, Lord Sugar will tell us why he fired the victim, and we'll take a look at the best bits as well as the one that got away...

Let's meet the panel:
Amroussi MissMJackson xxUtdGirl127xx But if you aren't on the panel, don't fret, you can comment here. Let's talk about the task. Making a new game on Digital Spy is hard - I've tried it alongside many others - but it was interesting results. For Team Hermes - it was a Search for the Best Friend competition. And for Team Footprints - it was a celebrity hotel fanfiction drama. Team Footprints stole it, but what did you all think? |

It was deserved, Hermes didn't wow me. I believe that BD should have stepped up about Pothuthic's logo

No doubt about it Team FootPrint were better.
Anactoria sent to a few people a survey to fill in which would get people to vote for them. I do think though it's easy to say that their team was better in all aspects - the pitch - the commitment - and the team leader. I was NOT surprised they got thrashed. I think it's also important to remember the fact Peter mentioned that they got thrashed without knowing about the drama etc which shows how awful the whole team was. |

And to everyone - would you take part in any of those games? If so, why?

I agree, and there are talks to make Glitz and Ritz into a game on the forums!
Now a word from our very own Lord Sugar. Here it is: Lord Sugar - Why I Fired Them: Firing Robbie was an extremely tough decision and one which I knew would upset those who saw Poth as the person to go. At the end of the day, despite Robbie showing me the logos last minute, I still felt uncertain over how much he really had done for the task, and his admitting in the boardroom that he gave up was really when I first thought about firing him. I think he did maybe become too angered at Poth and it took over from the task. Poth is certaintly on thin ice, no doubt about it, but the actual task was not all on Poth's shoulders and the fatc Robbie said because of Poth he didn't post really did not sit with me. His final comment to Elaine didn't help but was not the reason he went. Ultimately, I just didn't feel Robbie had done enough, and I honestly think he is a great person, but for me, he had to be fired. |

Can I just say, that we all sent out surveys to gain a better look at what part of the forum really lacks from these games and what people really want.

Now let's look at the one that got away:
POTHUTHIC With his many successful games, you'd expect poth to be a true contender. However, his domineering ways put him in the doghouse. It was even said he had swore to fellow teammates, but this didn't matter to Lord Sugar who kept him in. What do you all think of poth? Should he have gone? |

Yes. Poth wanted to quit at one point and was making distributions in the whole time. I do however feel that he put effort in. I think some people have had a row in the past with Poth and automatically started badly. I think somehow the fact that he wasn't in the board room HELPED him, because I feel him saying anything would backfire.
I do however think that the one who got away was also Strictly as far as I no she did the least out of everyone and wasn't mentioned as much. Okay she had family problems but still she could have said something I know she was active on twitter so I am not really sure why she didn't come to the thread. But ultimately Pothuthic should have been fired. |

Do you guys think:
There are any early frontrunners? Anyone who needs to step up their game? Or anyone who is in the middle and we need to see more of? |

There were reasons for each of the 3 to be fired tonight, but I think Lord Sugar saw that if Poth stopped the arguments then he could perhaps contribute more effectively. I have no doubt that if Poth behaves the same again that he will be going home, I think LS made that clear.

Well everyone we need to see more of.
I think Batman did a terrific job being PM, and I think he will be a front runner. Tyjet was very good and professorial on the pitch and I was impressed. Others who stand out include: All of the winning team really excellent! |

I was actually quite surprised with how easily Footprints won - I thought the Hermes idea would be fairly easily put onto the boards and played.
Batman and Carlisle were excellent in my eyes, and I actually though that Black Dagger did pretty well for Hermes. I think Poth should have been fired, in the boardroom it was all about him and he won't win after this. |
