Hi I have bt total broadband option 3 and Im looking at the getting sky sports and Espn. I dont really want a dish so sky tv is not an option but you can sky player through a pc. Also not on a 12 month contract which I think is £41.50 a month

BT vision I believe is on a 12 month contract. which I believe you have to take a silver or gold package gold being £12.50 a month then sky sports 1 and 2 £17.30 a month

what do people opinion on which won is best value for money

I have been a BTV customer for a while now and personally I like it, its been reliable and no problems whatsoever, BUT they don't have the choice of Sky Player BUT they do have a good VOD library etc. so I recommend you look around the net, get reviews and choose

to be honest...neither.

It'd be like picking which foot you want to lose...

BTV isn't really a viable chargeable service and the Skyplayer package (soon to be SkyGo) is very limited in value as you get very few channels.

There are a couple of ways in which you could do this:
[LIST][*]Sign up for BT Vision, which continues to offer the cheapest access to Sky Sports 1 & 2 and ESPN out of all of the TV platform providers; also consider that BT Vision will metamorphasise into You View at some point next year;
[*]Buy an Xbox or Freeview box such as the Humax HDR-FOX T2 and then sign up for Sky Player[/LIST]

Afaik there is no sky player on the humax. Maybe in the future, or maybe not.

New here. Quick question: If I have SKY through BT Vision (in possession of a BT viewing card only), which includes Sky Sports 1 & 2 and also ESPN, can I use SKYGO?

Responses much appreciated, sick of being on hold with both SKY and BT so thought I'd try the forum route.

Sky Go is a Pay Only service, unless you have a Sky Package subscription, the same as it was when it was Sky Player

Not unless you take out a direct Sky subscription.

The only thing thats been stopping me getting BTVision is that the box still dont pick up the Freeview HD channels and if I remember the boxes only had 80GB. Also although I watch sport I dont watch enough of it to be paying for the sports channels.
So for now I will make do with my two Sagemcom 320GB Freeview +HD boxes.
