Actually - it isn't.
Food manufacturers that produce for M&S have to jump through so many hoops to keep the technical guys at M&S happy to keep their orders. This in turn costs money. I can't list the exact M&S requirements but I can honestly say - they are extensive to ensure their products meet the most demanding standards. Are M&S products worth it? In my opinion, absolutely. The saying "you get what you pay for" really is true, in this case.”
This is good marketing speak. It's spin, not fact.
