Seeing as it gets less and less likely each day that Jenny (the doctor's daughter Jenny) will return, I've gotten to filling in the blanks myself as to what she's been up to since TDD. The more I think about it, the more I suspect that's the intention behind her survival and that we're perhaps on the wrong track by getting annoyed that she isn't back yet.

I like to think she's the reason the Daleks aren't in this series, they're too busy being defeated by her to be defeated by the Doctor himself :P

Thoughts?

I like to think there was a deleted scene at the end of The Doctor's Daughter in which, after leaving the planet, she crashed straight into an asteroid and was blown to smithereens. I thought that whole clone daughter thing was a terrible idea. No way should she be allowed to return.

Come to think of it-scratch the asteroid. She flew through a freak wormhole into a parallel universe and crashed straight on top of the house where a certain tedious ex time traveller and her pet David Tennant clone were living, killing them all instantly.

Whereas I'm not particularly fussed about a return appearance, I liked the character and her use in the story.

She's probably having cocktails with Sally Sparrow, The Rani, Romana and Ace in a New New York bar, in what will become a sex in the city style spin off where the doctors previous female associates struggle to maintain a love life and active career in the modern world.

Or she's back flipping through lasers somewhere.
