If The Master Does Return
El Medico

I don't think that it would suit Moff's Who if he came back as the same zany Master we saw during the previous era.

The show is darker now and runs at a slower pace, watching him bounce around the screen at 100mph again would look out of place.

I reckon Simm could pull it off though, if he does make a comeback.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't have said the current series is any slower than the previous ones, some of them are positively breakneck!

I would have thought either kind of Master would work - since Matt's Doctor is pretty manic and improvisational, they could either make the Master the same, or counterpoint him by being slower, more sophisticated, and all about the forward-planning (which would be my preference to be honest).

That's my choice.

I really enjoyed John Simm's Master but a regeneration gives us complete freedom to chose a completely different look and personality.

For me, the Master should be rich, vain and beared.

Brilliant!

It might just be me, but when I think of series 5 and 6 the first episodes that come to mind are the first half of the Silurian story, VaTD, The Lodger and so on.

When I think of the RTD era though I think of running around corridors and people falling through glass ceilings.

I liked Simm. I hope he comes back, even if it's just for a regeneration scene.
