Hi,

I had Holby set as a series link on the Foxsat HDR and it has worked perfectly for months. Tonight it failed to come out of standby and is still in the schedule.

Anybody else have this problem.

Yes it was BBC 1 HD. I had Luther to record on another Foxsat Box and made sure to keep an eye on it as I didn't want that to fail but it recorded ok.

Must be BBC then.

It is being suggested that there was a cock-up in the Humax's overnight housekeeping which possibly left the clock set incorrectly which would explain the first timer of the day failing to fire from standby. Unless anyone had a timer fail when their box was already fired up or had been turned on earlier in the day?

Hi that would explain why my sons box which is timed to come on failed to do so.

Thanks for the info.

Only just noticed my HDR failed to record Luther (BBConeHD) on Tuesday and also two programmes on ITV1HD last night (Poms in Paradise & Lewis). Box has been in standby since Monday. First failures I've had for a long time. I spotted Lewis wasn't recording and did a manual record missing about 2 mins. Only after checking the recording I realised it was a repeat anyway. Is this a new .15 bug?

Following an overnight problem on Monday night first noticed by lack of thumbnail generation the box seems to have reset the clock in a similar manner to what happened on a power cut on V1.00.13. Resuming recording seems to have required a manual boot, presumably to reset the clock to the correct time. Because I booted the box early Tuesday to check if my box had thumbnails it has worked completely normally. Users who booted the box in the afternoon reported missed daytime recordings.

Hopefully because your box was booted to make the manual recording it should now be working OK.

Whether it's down to a bug in V1.00.15 (doubtfull as it's been in service on some hdrs since October last year) or down to some sort of problem at Freesat is anyones guess. It only seems to have affected Foxsat-hdrs though.

Thanks for the info, I tried a test recording from the guide last night (ITV News at Ten) which worked correctly from ITV1HD. There is a recording scheduled for tonight, and I'll be watching out to see if it works!

Firstly you are using OK to set the recording reservation from the epg and choosing either series or one off recordings ?. (not the red record button)

Also check that you have not applied auto padding from the menus as this disables accurate recording.

Both Corries recorded fine on my box. (ITV1-HD Granada)

Go into the setup menu, Press Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Green, Yellow, Blue in succession.

In the menu that comes up Check Antenna Setting says - Fixed and Connection type is - Two Cables(Same).

If incorrect make a note of your recording schedule and either do a factory reset or change the connection type in the above menu after first checking the two coax cables are on the outer connections with the centre one having nothing connected.

On the reset you should see a two cables found message.

Check two tuner operation by starting an instant recording on BBC1-HD, start a second on BBC-HD. Check you can view and live pause any other channel.
