As we know on Sunday, Beyonce is closing Glastonbury on Sunday which should give her an advantage of having potential great sales for 4 in the UK next week. Also that week she doesn't have competition (besides Gaga and Adele).

So do you think she can score her second UK #1 album?

One thing I don't understand these days is why artists release singles, then WEEKS later they release the album. Avril released What The Hell like seven weeks before Goodbye Lullaby, Chris Brown released Yeahx3 weeks before F.A.M.E, Britney released Femme Fatale weeks after Hold It Against Me (although Til The World Ends was randomly thrown on iTunes a week or two before, I think?) and now Beyonce released Run The World weeks ago (it's been in the charts like eight weeks) and NOW she releases the album?

Shouldn't the album be released the week after the single?

I'm not sure, but if she does it'll be tight, and most likely not for more than one week.

I'm going to say "Yes", on the off-chance that her fans might realise she has new material out after Glastonbury.

AND Best Thing I Never Had is being released on the 3rd of July for some reason, ONE whole week after the album?

I don't think shes going to debut at number 1 straight away but she'll do a LOUD- eventually get to the top spot a few weeks later.

I'm expected the opposite, I think she'll do a bionic: hit number 1 then tumble down the charts rapidly

Didn't Loud go straight to Number 1 here?

I think she will, just without remarkable sales.

Up to a few years ago it used to be the most traditional way to release an album. The lead single was released first then a few weeks later would come the album. That way ore leasing albums used to create a real event for the music. Now, it can give some indication of what's going on behind doors for some artists especially if their last effort was badly received. I guess for Beyonce, either it's a marketing decision to benefit from her slot at Glastonbury and/or because Run The World didn't do well and so they're trying to push the second single.

Love to say Yes, but I don't think Glasto is that much of promotion, it's on at 10pm on BBC 2 , only her fans will watch that, she needs to do more promotion, alan carr or graham norton would be the best options.

I think she will chart Top 5, then fall, unfortunately.

It depends on her competition. If it's a quiet week then yeah she will.

Maybe. I'd say she's a bit more likely not to, just off the back of RTW and a bit of interest in BTINH.

but it had strong comp. from take that
despite being at number 2 opened with like 90k sales then sold 300k in one week despite being at number two. number one isn't everything.

It will probably enter at #1, but I can see it doing a Bionic and flopping on its arse.

I can't see it getting to No.1 Top 5 I reckon. It's a shame as what I've heard so far it's brilliant. Definitely an album for the fans.

I think it might do better than how some people think. It'll do better than Bionic that's for sure, and be more critically acclaimed.

I don't think that it will go to #1 next week but I definately think it will do better than Bionic!

TBH 4 is actually a really good album whereas Bionic wasn't and that was why it flopped, 4 does not deserve to flop!

I think that this could actually be Beyonce's best album so far!!!

Definitely agree.

I read mostly negative things about Bionic. The response to '4' from what I've read is much more positive compared to Bionic. A lot of people are also saying they think this is her best album.

Agreed! The only negatives I've read about 4 is about Run The World, which I didn't like but I don't really mind about that now, the album more than made up for it!

I think that Beyonce's first week US sales are gonna be HUGE!!!

I LOVE Run The World. It's a shame it didn't take of. What's more of a shame is that a lot of people are probably judging the album by Run The World and it's really not representative of the album at all.

I think she'll definitely debut at No.1 in the US. I really hope she does as all her other albums have.

She is doing Alan Carr i think, i remember a few weeks ago when Alan was getting interviewed he hinted Beyonce would appear.

As much as i like Beyonce '4' Era has been a disaster available weeks ago i even downloaded 'cause i was going to still buy it' but after listening to it a few times it hasnt grown on me at all

She needs to do some major Promo if she wants another No.1 album as the album imo is very week compared to her last albums.
