*****Boy, am I glad I copied this post!******

New part, Congrats to Mads

Afternoon everyone

Few thoughts about last night.........I like Afia, have always done and last night you saw her vulnerability, missing her mum, her sadness knowing the real situation with both families and I really liked her scenes with Denise, lovely touches there for both of them. Denise was able to be a mum again and Afia felt a mother's touch that she so clearly needs. I also thought that Meryl looked beautiful! The close up when she was dancing was very cinematic and showed her to perfection. Very Bollywood! You never know, maybe she'll get offers there as a result.

Tamfia and Chryed have a lot in common and I hope they continue to build their close relationship as it's pretty clear they will need each other time and again. Lovely scene between Afia and Christian. I'm also pleased that EE included the casual racist remarks in the episode as unfortunately that's the kind of language that does take place. It was cleverly done because it was in the middle of an otherwise mundane scene, exactly what tends to happen in real life. Kirkwood is indeed taking EE back to its gritty, working class roots.

Loved the mehndi and I'm pretty sure that Johnny had a blast choreographing for all of them Watching it several times you can see the reactions of everyone, especially when the girls take over. You can really see when the boys stop being the characters and they just become Marc, Ricky, Charlie and Himesh interacting I hope Marc didn't bang his head at one point but I think he might have done! When everyone joined in who could tell they were all letting their hair down and just having a goold ol' dance and I'm sure the cast and crew loved it. According to Daran it was filmed the day of the royal wedding which was a bank holiday. It wouldn't surprise me if they went out together after filming.

I have to say....... the chemistry between Yusef and Zainab, wow! Feel the electricity between those two! Nina has a great husband/wife chemistry with Nitin which is great for their characters. With Ace though is a different dynamic and you can believe that their characters would end up in bed together given half a chance, something Jasood never had. I can't wait to see where it all ends!

OH MY GOD.

I loved that scene, thought it was so well acted by Johnny too, the way you could tell that Christian was getting more and more annoyed and jealous

I also loved when Danny went to kiss Syed and Syed backed off and offered his hand instead - too funny!

Just re-watching yet again (as you do:sleep

I love it when Christian tickles Syed under the arm when they're holding up the fabric, such a big kid thing to do.

Hahaha, which is why I've never applied for tickets! Oh god, mortifying or what. And I always hate when you get comedian's go on BGT and they're like really bad and their joke's go down like a lead balloon and there's literally silence from the audience

There's a bit of bad continuity in the dancing scenes... after Syed's finished dancing he walks to the back and onto the bottom step but in the next shot he walks up again and stands at the bottom of the steps

/only noticed this because I can't keep my eyes off him

I think that was more Johnny and Marc than Christian and Syed

Anyway, I think the fact that the dance was choreographed is the main reason why I found it such a cringe. It was fab choreography by JP but I just get embarrassed watching a choreographed dance being danced by people who actually can't dance, especially when they're putting their heart and soul into it. I would have liked it more if the boys dance was unchoreographed to be honest. I'm the same watching BGT and the X Factor with the bad auditions - just can't do it cos I feel so mortified!

Oh, I still fancy JP though, even after Christian's announcement Luckily I was able to put my fingers in my ears and go la la la I'm not listening in time It's a shame though cos I love Syed's line before it where he says about meeting the man he wants to be with forever. But now I can't watch that thanks to Christian ”

One reason I love the Mendhi scenes is that they aren't professional and they're not supposed to be. The Mendhi - as in real life - is your family and friends dancing with you. I love that. If it was supposed to be professional - like a BGT audition is - then it would be 'oh no, what's happening!' It's not though, it's just supposed to be everyday people dancing to celebrate with their family. Throw in that the context if Syed being involved at all, and I thought it came across just as it should. Ordinary, special, funny, moving, modern, traditional.

Unchoreographed dancing in soap is the work of the devil! JP's a trained dancer and even he can't avoid the curse. AAAGHH. Scary.

Oh and as AR says, just get your mute timed. Though you will still be able to see him emerge with his newspaper, so if you're anything like me, that's enough.

Okay, I've looked and looked and can't find this for the life of me. Where is it?! I can't believe I'm managing to overlook something like this, 'tis shameful.

I really love the atmosphere of last night's episode.. even though not all of them were happy, the music, dancing, colourful outfits and camera shots were awesome It was such a welcome change from normal EE episodes!

By the way, I was wondering why Christian wasn't allowed to wear a suit? I'm glad he didn't in the end but Yusef was wearing one...

I agree with this, except I still find it a bit embarrassing to watch - just like I'd find my own family embarrassing to watch. I did think there was something 'sweet', for lack of a better word, about last night's though, that makes it bearable enough not to skip over. They try so hard!

Laura I'm a bit confused as to why you say that Fatboy can't dance? He was part of the dancing crew in E20 last summer and they did a fab routine. He's a great dancer!
