So he thinks being a hard-faced bitch is a necessary quality to be in business?

She's a bulldog. If she made better decisions, she'd be lethal.

She's utterly delusional. Hears only what she wants and has appalling judgment. If that's a recipe for business success no wonder we're ** cked!

i agree with OP

i wish also people would stop going on about killer instinct as if its a good thing. I am happy to place a bet right now that Melody will not win the apprentice.

She will not win because being one of these people who are 'cruel in business' only works in the short term.

You annoy everyone, you anger everyone, you fall out with everyone - these are not positive things to have in a business.

And if you say something like "oh but she makes money" again i disagree. - you may deeply anger an inventor by offending him when you reject him... it turns out he is then the next Dyson.. and refuses to do business with you as you treated him like dirt...

And this is exactly the category someone like Melody would all into - and i think Alan Sugar can see this already from some of the comments he has made

Her voice makes her instantly unlikeable! And then add in the fact that she's arrogant and needs taking down a peg or two...

Shes great.

This is about being the one, and shes proving it.

I doubt she will win, but I hope she does

Based on Lord Sugar's sarcastic tweets about her, I can't see her being in contention.

Like her or not, she is at least a character and we have been short of them so far this year.

Well the winner won't be working in Lord Sugar's company so he won't have to worry about that. I do like her, but regardless of whether you like her or not, her drive, intelligence and business acumen are to be respected.

I get the feeling LS is merely building her up to eventually knock her down.

Can't stand the smug smirking cow myself. And does she think we all have Whippets and a cloth cap in Manchester?

In the words of Mr Kipling she is exceedingly pretty, that makes her likeable

Her voice is sexy.

If there's such a thing as 'Posh Telephone Voice Porn'... she'd make millions!

Yes, she does come over as being unlikeable but she is good at what she does. She is a fantastic seller, probably the best there but she is too full of herself and would not work well with others because it is all about her!

I think that she deserves to be in the top 3, because she is very business like but I would like to see Susan or Helen win!

I don't think she'll win either; I expect she'll get seriously challenged in the interviews. There's something very iffy to me about all these awards she claims to have been given. And what is it she actually does? Some kind of 'global consultancy' - but what is that exactly? She keeps repeating 'global' so often it makes me suspicious - as if she's trying to make it sound better than it is. Reminds me of Tre claiming he ran a global business in series 3 and that got taken apart during the interviews. I just don't trust these various claims she is making at the moment - oh not forgetting working with the Dalai Lama/Al Gore of course! She seems to lack basic self-awareness too - as Dara said, she hears what she wants to hear. LAS said he doesn't want to set up another government, or words to that effect, when he listed her awards yet she reported him as saying the awards were 'commendable' back at the house. Imagine working with someone like that! She'd make a good politician though - very good at spin.

I am backing Helen to win now - she seems the most reasonable, level-headed, all-rounder kind of character. It was funny to see Helen trying to stop smirking when Melodious was on about how many languages she could speak etc in the car. Clearly they are used to her carrying on!

I get the feeling there's a bit more authenticity to Melody's claims than there were to Tre's (even though he was so much more likeable!). When she professed to being able to speak French, she wasn't wrong. And when she pitches and sells to businesses you can tell it's something she's accustomed to doing. Generally, I do find her quite polished and professional. But didn't like the stunt she pulled regarding the baby seat rucksack. That was sneaky.

I started off not liking her, but she's been winning me over in recent weeks - went right off her tonight when she either blatantly lied/misheard the comments about the car seat and just generally trampling over people.
