Totally agree! It was a really boring part of the show and I don't know why they did it - almost trying to justify her inclusion in the show? She is really dull and it gets on my nerves that she downgrades her Hearsay roots - she'd be nowhere if it weren't for her lucky start in that group.

They spent too much time talking to her and not enough time concentrating on all of Melody's flaws. Melody got off really lightly imo.

I was wondering the same myself. Of course the lovely Myleene is the world's leading expert on motherhood and children, neither of which had been heard of, written about or researched much before she became a mother.

I think Dara must have been stuck for something to say, as todays firing was such an open and shut case. But giving her carte blanche to plug her range was strange.

i actually quite like how this year they are talking about the participants businesses more )e.g. the Innocence guy). It's relevant and kind a business educational angle to the show.

Your'e Fired is more of a platform for the panelists to show themselves and to sell their wares. Who on earth would waste their time being an audience member for this programme.

I do like Dara though.

Maybe Leon wasn't saying much so they needed something to fill the time. Very odd, and very irritating.

I found it especially annoying that they didn't really try to tie it in with the programme much at all.

Dara might as well just have said "Ok, Myleene, here's your free 3 minutes of airtime to plug your baby clothes".

So what about the 1hr plug for the car seat, teapot lamp, postcard and gadget grip that preceeded it???

Look the show is about business above all. It makes sense to have guests come on and talk about their business and tell the audience behind the scenes stuff that you wouldn't normally hear about. I like this.

Better to have that than random people saying "ooh I don't like her/him. ...oh yeah he's/she's great" etc like every other reality show.

The car seat was pivotal to the programme and it was child oriented. Klass's business is child oriented so her insights were valuable. Plus she started a business from scratch at an early age so she is relevant to the whole series.

Plus, she's cute.

It gave a background to her remarks which I thought added to the conversation with Leon. She was basically saying that you need to be committed to your business idea and do the legwork yourself in order to succeed.

If they hadn't included that bit people would probably be asking why Mylene Klass was on a business show!

It's the inclusion of a 'comedian' each week that I find irritating

Having Myleene Klass say she started up a business is fine, but they did let her prattle on endlessly about K baby ... I mean they should have just stuck the domain name up on screen and a telephone number so they can start phoning in orders.

It was way over the top the amount of airtime she had for her business.

The comedian this week was poor. His only comment that made me laugh was the crackwh0re one about Helen.

Of course the whole programme is not an extended ad for sugar's business is it? Each series heavily plugs the particular business venture involved.
He is putting in £250K to the winner's business the publicity is worth a lot more than that..

I'd be hard put to name a guest on You're Fired who was there out of altruism rather than for the exposure. Even (or maybe especially) the comedians.

To be fair to Lordalun:

a. He doesn't sell his products to the general public anymore; - only to specific industry sectors.

b. The producers approached him to do the programme.

I'm pretty sure no property investors decided to go in with Amshold based on the Apprentice.

I think she is a wonderful young woman who is a great role model for women everywhere.

From what I gather, Myleene is doing very nicely with or without the vague references to her business she got on this show.

Alvin Hall didn't go on about his business last night, he just talked about the candidates and the task in question. Myleene Klass did precious little of this but when Dara blatantly invited her to describe her own business she positively gushed information basically saying how wonderful she was at understanding motherhood abd the baby care market. How clever she is about not using puppy logos in Dubai and so on. It was a shameless plug and I was surprised Dara was party to it.

She's a moderately competent classical pianist who found fame with a manufactured TV pop band. Also famous for peanut smuggling in her bikini on IACGMOOH. She isn't Mother Teresa. She seems to have a fantastic agent, given the amount of TV work she gets.

She has achieved alot, not just through her TV work.

What I've done is none of your business, so keep your rolling eyes to yourself. I'm not setting myself up as a role model and expert in babycare. Myleene Klass's TV exposure is way beyond that justified by her very limited talents. As for Baby K, I've no idea how good it is in relation to other baby products, but you can guarantee she only managed to get it launched because of her name and image, however good a designer she actually is.

Yes she's achieved a lot on a limited skill set (plus her near constant bikini exposure on IACGMOOH), fair play for that. I was just annoyed to see her given the opportunity for further free self-promotion on a show which is supposedly about The Apprentice.

This is the argument people who don't know how to debate use because they dont have the capacity to debate properly.

So Im assuming then that by your rules of 'you can't criticise anyone else unless youve done better yourself' that you have no opinion on anything to do with politics or the economy (since you are not a politician or a banker therefore have no idea how hard it is to do the job).

And in fact just apply that to anything anyone has ever done because you've never done better than them.

But yet you would have done some criticising of people in situations that you yourself have never been in ....... so you can take your hypocrisy and ....

I don't see the Baby K range any differently to other celebs bringing out a perfume - just taking advantage of your name and image. Disappointed to hear her say that people remembering her Hearsay roots works to her advantage because people don't expect too much from her! Well la di dah! She'd be nowhere without Hearsay and she was no better singer in the group than any of the others so why she thinks she's above it all, I don't know. She was chosen for her looks and her ability to sing and musical background not anything else, so why knock it?
