I haven't made any allegations against your precious Myleene, merely pointed out the way things really are regarding Mothercare and Baby K. Others have said the same (including in the Guardian Apprentice blog).

I'm not sensitive (though I don't like being accused of talking shite or being too green) I just value my privacy. Myleene Klass clearly is a shameless self-publicist, so privacy is less of an issue. How exactly will links relating to my business affect "allegations" you say I've made, Steve trademark?

Can you give any examples of how she went into "great detail" about how wonderful her stuff was? (Please note 'great detail' means more than "minor detail".)

I say again, the main show was a lengthy plug for 4 products. I know what they do, what they look like, roughly what they cost and that is certainly enough for me to decide whether I want to purchase one or not.

Myleene talking about her product probably lasted about 2 mins. I have no idea what any of it looks like, what it costs or where to buy it. There was nothing that could lead any viewer to make a purchase without doing a lot of further research.

Well how about how she described the care and attention she put into design and material selection. No puppies for Dubai, she personally took care of that. And the range isn't just pink for a girl blue for a boy and yellow for either, she has something more innovative and stylish allegedly. All of which is a pitch for her brand, and it had stuff all to do with Leon or the Paris task. Dara simply invited her to describe her products.

Look, plugging a brand (Baby K) is a plug for the whole range. It wasn't an ad for an individual product, while the other four items were not mentioned by brand name IIRC, and the teapot, cress postcard and phone holder were hardly attractively pushed. As I have consistently said my main issue was MK being allowed to give a promotional pitch describnig her bisiness which had very little to do with the episode of The Apprentice being discussed. The presence of the four items in the main episode was however essential to the task and therefore show. You are being mischievous is suggesting that was some kind of extended plug.

On the contrary, I thought allafix's last post summed things up quite well, and I agree that Klass' contribution was a thinly designed plug for her baby clothes which had little or nothing to do with the Apprentice episode which preceded it.

Why Klass was a panellist is beyond me.

I think it's a recent development where celebrities want all of the glory. It's no longer enough to just be paid lots for appearing in adverts. Now we are supposed to believe that they do everything and probably even pack the orders.

As for giving advice about people starting up , is she really best placed given the amount of backing she received?

I don't think she advertised her range too much , but I still found her annoying and I supposes if you have your own small range , it would be depressing seeing her receive one free mention of her label.

Have you any proof she doesn't? It's fairly widely acknowledged she's putting her name to a range. Not just my comment, other people said the same, including a journalist in a newspaper blog. If Myleene has a problem with that I'm sure she'll take it up with the Guardian. I don't see why you are her self appointed legal protector here.

That said Mylene seemed to qualify to be there from setting up a business in a sumilar field and what she said added value.

I think she was riding with the old comedians view of Hearsay without challenging it. Its clearly a wrongheaded view as at least 4 of the Hearsay members have been incredibly successful in their subsequent careers - she may have just decided not to bite back.

I'm afraid I've never been able to take Myleene seriously since the time she appeared on "Richard and Judy" along with Professor Colin Pillinger, of the Open University, talking of how passionate she was about Astrology and how she was taking a degree in it.

When she appeared on "Celebrity Mastermind", what was her specialist subject? Astrology? Astrophysics? No. "Sex and the City - Series 3"!

People have to start somewhere. I'm passionate about music. I dont know all there is to know, but I'll sit and talk sh1t with a mate. I dont see what is wrong about being passionate about something and clearly taking an Open University degree in it would support that, though I'm sure she didnt expect or set out to paint herself as the authority on the subject.
