Rhetorical question: "Ever heard of Renault? Citroen? Peugeot?"

Evidently not.

(Hears sounds of pitchfork sharpening in the Susan Ma Appreciation society. Here come the pathologicaly deluded... )

Relax.

Everyone, including Susan, agreed that the questions sounded stupid.

The more intelligent realise that she was just think out loud and simply used a rather odd phrasing.

Susan didn't mean the questions literally, and she was just thinking out loud. I'm sure you've never said anything silly in your life.

By the way, it isn't necessary to insult other users just because you don't agree with them.

She should have been sacked on the spot for her racism, stupidity and naiveness.

You might want to tell your little pal Jepson that:

The implication being, of course, that we - the great unwashed who do not worship at the altar of The Mighty Susan - are less intelligent. Sounds suspiciously like an insult to me...

What are they, if they're not a race? Pieces of plywood?

So if I said I hate Pakistanis and they are smelly no one would accuse me of racism?

A nationality. "Racism" is a modern buzzword, but there are other forms of prejudice.

How easy people use the word "racist" even if that clearly out of the question.

Susan was simply stupid with those coments, but she fight them very well in the boardroom convinving the "Judge Pannel" what she really mean with those words. Even Karen helping her with a comment "you should have phrase the coment in a diferent way". I think they really like her.

Not at all.

An intelligent person, even if they dislike someone intensely, will pick something that they have done that is really stupid if they wish to attack them.

Stupid people will pick on every little piece of trivia and just make fools of themselves by blowing it up out of all proportion. Possibly making a new thread to do it when the matter has been aired in plenty of threads already.

Susan was just thinking out loud and she freely admitted that what she said sounded stupid.

Banging on and on about it just smacks of desperation.

They were patronising her as she is such a child

It was filmed when Susan was speaking her thoughts out loud in an area well away from customers. Susan spoke in English with allowed Karren to patronised her just as she did when she remarked about Susan’s way of choosing the products.

In the Boardroom in a position of seniority Karren allowed what were primarily personal issues she had with Susan and her ramblings as they didn't affect the task in any way to take over. It was certainly not Susan who looked foolish.

Susan's a racist? This forum does throw up some laughs, unintentional as they may be!

Not often. They pedal bicycles and sell onions, but in the Tour de France they just pedal and not sell.

This is what came across to me.

A nationality! There is a difference between race and nationality. You have black french people, white french people, brown french people. White is a race, black is a race, french is a nationality.

It wasn't a one off, Nearly everything she says is stupid.

That is so obviously complete rubbish that it's not worth responding to.

Ooops!

Thinking aloud is one thing. Thinking complete rubbish out loud is quite different.

Melody thought pretty much the same thing, until she was stuck in traffic jams.

It does Jepson, indeed it does. Pot, kettle and black spring very much to mind...

Well, she managed to sell enough of those phone stands to win...

And then took advantage of it by scouting for more Mobile Phone shops.

susan simply didnt articulate her words rightly. What i found interesting is why karen brought it up in the board room when this had no effect on the task itself?

That was her excuse afterwards, and I'm frankly amazed people take it at face value. It simply is not what happened. She also has history in previous episodes of asking facile questions. Maybe Karren was OTT in making a big point of it, but presumably Sugar sees the task footage too, so would be aware of it. Karren commenting on it is part of the show's story telling, signposting things people should take note of.

What she later claimed to have meant to say bore almost no relation to what she actually said. She's a graduate and a business owner so she should be able to articulate her thoughts properly into meaningful questions. Her innocence might be entertaining and useful occasionally but it's a liability in day to day business.

Susan asks the questions that need to be asked. It's just that no-one thought to ask them before.

Karren was a right mardy moo.
Even when she backed down in the boardroom saying 'well that's how you should have phrased it'.
That's how she should have phrased it to who exactly? There was no-one there. wtf!

It's like as soon as Susan started speaking in her brainstorming session Karren had a look on her face like she'd smelt something foul.
