Anyone who's seen some of the sh*te that Brady's come out with during her tenure at West Ham could only laugh at her calling anyone else stupid.

in fairness what she said was unbeleivably stupid, what she meant to say as she explained it in the boardroom was more astute and she did make very good buisness decisions

Karren seems to have a tendency to make comments personal, which from a business point of view looks very immature.

She called - for example - Jim 'passive-agressive' which I think is a downright insult. It would have been diferent if she had said that his approach to certain tasks looked 'passive-agressive' to her, but instead she made it an attack on his personality (this of course all besides the point that she clearly has no idea what passive-agressive behaviour looks like, or she would have seen that Jim's behaviour is the opposite. ).

Not sure whether she called Susan stupid or that she referred to the questions she asked. But as it bore no relevance whatsoever to the outcome of the task and they were made in more or less brainstorm kind of circumstances, it made her attack seem all the more personal (and kind of stupid in my opinion.... ).

Thought it was a bit harsh to call her unbelievably stupid, that would have maybe been accurate if Susan had put them forward as genuine questions to clients, or indeed anyone originating from France.
But it was only to Zoe while going through what would be the most suitable products in a kind of brainstorming session.

Susan is quite clearly a genius in disguise.

I sat in front of the TV with my mouth agape. Susan does not seem to articulate her thoughts like most of us do. I have a 20 and a 21 year old and they were appalled at what she said.

Having said that I do think Susan is business savvy and hope she grows up and does well in the coming weeks.

It's true, there is a slightly 'niggly' undercurrent to Karren's comments sometimes. I've picked up on it too.

As for Susan's odd questions, it's just someone young spurting out stuff without thinking about it. But when she puts her mind to it she's clearly talented.

Unfortunately, it's one of the very few things the Susan haters have got to beat her with and they are making the most of it.

I dont hate her, but dont think she should have lasted as long as she has.

I could also add that Melody was unbelievably stupid conducting market research for a child car seat outside the Metro Station and then presenting the answers of 4 people as conclusive findings that the car seat was a dead duck of a product.

I'm surprised we didn't see Lord Sugar lay in to her more for that.

Karren actually said that the questions Susan were asking "were beyond stupid" - at no point did she say that Susan was.

No wonder that the police say eye witnesses to events are useless and only recall what they THOUGHT they saw!

Not if her aim was to make the seat seem like an unattractive product, which of lot of people seem to think was the case.

What was stupid (although for a different thread) was Tom accepting that research.

Supporting evidence was there if Karren had said Susan was not well-spoken.

In my book neither is Karren. As for who is better-looking it would not be Karren.

In my opinion, I find Karen Brady's comment rather arbitrary. Maybe it's the daft editing. For this particular comment to be stated in the boardroom bears no basis. The other members of the team were edited to show no response to Susie's childlike questions nor did it consequently impact on the product selection. I would argue why Melody was not interrogated further in the edits. The reasons I give would be for not following a direct order to research the lead for Tom and basing her 'market research' on a few people so passionately as to not go with the rucksack seat.

It's really very easy.

You just have to accept that the question she was asking herself was whether they would spend a lot of money these things.

She was just very unfortunate that her musings were captured on film and both the editors and Karen thought it would be a good opportunity for a cheap laugh.

The only reason it's coming up every five minutes is because it's one of the few things the Susan haters have to bash her with.

I'm not a Susan hater though. Nor do I hate Karren either, as some people here seem to. I don't "hate" any of the candidates, but that doesn't mean I can't criticise obvious ignorance.

At best she was vocalising her ignorance as she thought out loud. Not very mature, even for a 21 year old. It's fairly well known that (a) the French are enthusiastic about cars and (b) they do a lot "en famille" so clearly love their kids. So of course the French would go for a car product which was also a family product. The question didn't even need considering.

Remember she was also criticised for dismissing most of the products out of hand, with no thought at all. She can't be thinking carefully through all the options on one hand while dismissing them thoughtlessly on the other.

it is ironic that Helen stating the obvious in her pitch about the love of the French for their children was 'inspired' salesmanship whereas Susan was asking herself if that was a priority - she just expressed herself poorly - it just sounded 'beyond stupid'...whereas stating the obvious was 'beyond clever'...

That's what I think the issue here is. That's not the same thing as being stupid, and I think Karren was wrong to parse it like that. Even at the time, Susan acknowledged that she wasn't articulating herself properly, because she said "oh, you know what I mean".

Susan only said it to Zoe just as Zoe was the one who joked at calling the magazine title Coffin Dodgers.
Karen is being unfair to only pick up on a few candidates.
I don't much like Karen's way of observing. She definately has her favourites.

Just so I understand you here ....... youre trying to equate Zoe's clear joke about 'Coffin Dodgers' as the name of a magazine, to the way Susan seemed to genuinely be asking 'Do the French like their children?'

I just want a yes or no, so I know what sort of person I am replying to here and whether its worth me bothering to reply again.
