Despite Susan’s seemingly asking silly questions it took place in a private room in an informal setting in front of one other apprentice plus an observer. If what Susan had said had had an affect on the task or been said in front of customers Karren would have been correct to mention it. There was little merit for it being mentioned a first time and certainly not in the formal setting of a Boardroom a second time.

What Susan said had no affect on anything what it did have was the appearance of a senior women brow beating a younger one just because she could.

But it did give us an insight into her stupidity.

The fact is she shouldn't have been muttering it in the first place ...... its like if I was to mutter 'I wonder if most grass kinds of grass is green'. No-one would be stupid enough to even have to contemplate it, let alone mutter it.

The fact that people still defend her is hilarious.

It is those with seniority who should not let their injuried sensibilities become the focus especially when Susan is entitled to ramble or mutter as much as any person in a private area.

I like Karen, although the editing does try to be deliberately 'Margaret-ising' her by stealth. She should be allowed to come into her own.

What Susan said only looks bad because there was a TV camera watching her every move. Really they were just a few throwaway comments made behind closed doors to a work colleague.

I can't believe Margaret would ever have displayed the lack of business etiquette Karren did last night.

But Susan's immaturity isn't restricted to the brain-storming sessions with her team-mates.

Consider the pitch she made with Helen last night. At one point, they were questioned about the price of the product, and Susan responded by plonking herself on the baby seat and giggling about how comfie it was. Helen brought discussions back to the price issue and explained that mothers would be willing to pay more for extra convenience.

Susan's fresh out of uni. You've picked on one of the reasons why Susan is so refreshing. She hasn't yet developed inhibitions and plonking herself on the seat was something that made be smile because Helen and Susan were displaying all that's good about team work.

I don't really get this criticism, a lot of the stuff we saw rubbish and it wouldn't take you five seconds to see that, and Zoe was just as quick to say whether she liked something or not too.

Both teams also seemed to consider the items more carefully when the inventors demonstrated their product. It seemed like the initial room was gut instinct to hone on on products, while the nitty gritty like profit margins and potential markets were hashed out in the demos and Q&A sessions.

I think Karen had a point about the stupid comments and questions, but not about this.

Team work would suggest the pair of them were helping one another out, but I think Helen had things under control and Susan interrupting at that point broke Helen's flow and was actually a bit of a hindrance.

Don't get me wrong, there are times when I find Susan's youthfulness and enthusiasm quite endearing. And I think she's learning a hell of a lot from this experience. But she still strikes me as too immature to go into business with Sugar.

There are multiple TV cameras watching everybody's every move. Evidently Susan irritated Zoe, and last night Susan irritated Karren bigtime. Hard to believe that editing was biased against Susan. Editing was there to tell a coherent and entertaining story. In making herself sound bad Susan needs no assistance from editing.

Nick regularly waded in to contradict candidates' claims. Nick was paid to be an impartial observer, and would not let false claims go without challenge.

Karren waded in, I suspect, to give vent to personal displeasure. This point rehashed did not compliment Susan, but reflected no credit on Karren either, supposed to be paid to be an impartial observer, not aged 21 either.

Susan's colleagues and 8 million viewers have all been on the receiving end of what Susan says repeatedly. Why did Karren have to typecast herself as the messenger of bad news, stale bad news?

I viewed it differently. Helen was giving the pitch and Susan demonstrated the product giving Helen thinking time, when the panel suggested it was too expensive, for Helen to continue her pitch.

Although I have a feeling all the orders were fake orders. Not actual orders. I really cant see a small phone shop buying 1500 phone holders, can you?

Leon's questions and comments make Susan appear to be a genius in comparison.

Giving Helen thinking time, was not what Susan was doing. She was being erm silly as per usual. Without Helen there it would have been interesting to see what kind of order would have been placed. i doubt they would have bothered.

In fact she could have ruined the deal by behaving desperate like that. Helen didn't need thinking time, she just ploughed on with her line that quality was worth paying for and it worked.
