I never said I was more interested in the crew than the characters....... Both are equally important....... Off to watch Emmy now!!!

Nikhil was shy to begin with but has grown in confidence, people do....... I know I've been there......

Brenda has been lost since Terry died really, so I think her mind is on other things at times.....

Pollard & Val decided to foster Amy and make a fresh start, so maybe for them it was time to leave their dodgy dealing behind them....

Chas, since she became a join landlady of the Woolpack likes to see herself as a friend, there when you need them..... Paddy on the other hand is an old friend, so it's obvious she would be there for him......

Incidently, it's nothing new, Alan Turner was a boozing bullying manager for NY Estates when he first started and later morphed into a kind of pillar of the community type figure.......”

Do you think that mention of the dialogue was a little patronising?

Nikhil changed overnight from still moping over Maisie to being down after being rejected by Katie then suddenly acting like the local stud after a few sessions with Chas.

Brenda's idiocy cannot be explained away by Terry's death I'm afraid. It started suddenly before the fire.

Val and Pollard would not suddenly have a U-turn like that after years of ingrained scheming.

Chas is not acting like a friend. She is acting as an interfering busybody who seems remarkably quick to judge of late.

Alan changed slowly over a long time. He didn't wake up different like everyone else.

As someone else said, Declan is another who has mutated from a cheerful, kindly landlord to withdrawn scrooge.

This post was timed at 19.19 - At least that explains why some people don't get how the characters are evolving........

........and it doesn't take a brain like Einstein to work it out.....

I'm not rising to this and getting into petty insult slinging. I don't see why I should have to.

Agreed. It would appear some people can't accept that flaws do exist.

I like Stuart Blackburn. He has given me an extra 1/2 hour free time on Mon-Fri evenings!
