Nikhil changed overnight from still moping over Maisie to being down after being rejected by Katie then suddenly acting like the local stud after a few sessions with Chas.
Brenda's idiocy cannot be explained away by Terry's death I'm afraid. It started suddenly before the fire.
Val and Pollard would not suddenly have a U-turn like that after years of ingrained scheming.
Chas is not acting like a friend. She is acting as an interfering busybody who seems remarkably quick to judge of late.
Alan changed slowly over a long time. He didn't wake up different like everyone else.
As someone else said, Declan is another who has mutated from a cheerful, kindly landlord to withdrawn scrooge.
