Melody - Manipulative or Badly Edited?

Last night, Melody came across extremely poorly. The thing that stuck out was when she was speaking to one of the women who said the car seat was a good idea and when Leon asked what she had said, she said the women thought it was okay. The thing was, that paticular clip seemed out of place as if they had took that woman speaking and added it to a clip where Melody was communicating what someone else had said to make it look like Melody was a liar? Again, I also think the Leon having to ask permission bit was also taken out of context, I think they had agreed to each concentrate on one product and he was just asking could he try selling the teapot lights to add more sales to his book rather than having to properly ask her permission.

So what do you think, was Melody manipulative last night or was it edited that way?

She seems like maybe a pushy/greedy person... I wouldn't say she looked manipulative

I'm sure there was some editing which distorted what happened, as there always is in such programmes but, at the same time, Melody herself admitted that her market research from which she concluded the booster seat was a bad idea amounted to 4 negative reactions. However you edit it, by her own words she looks really bad.

Bit of both, methinks.

Yep.

Editing aside, found her disappointing yesterday - she definitely used her personal biases and knowledge of French to railroad her opinions through. She's one of these people that once she gets an idea in her head, isn't open to a different viewpoint - she didn't listen open-mindedly to what the market research was saying.

Also notice she doesn't smile generously/openly. Had been backing her but last night gave me a bit of a wobble...

She is self obsessed , greedy and tenacious but she also has what it takes to make it in business....probably.
I think she will be successful but should find a way to get the best from people around her instead of freezing them out and turning into a control freak.

But would anyone like her....with that kind of attitude.

I think we saw the true Melody last night. Up till now there have only been hints but give her a sales book and team play goes right out the window. Small-minded bint.

Ultimately you have to be ruthless in business sometimes, but those best at it do so without others realising they've been trampled on. Melody appears to have the ruthless part but not the finesse that's necessary to go with it.

I've called it since the first episode and now feel vindicated as others are seeing it too. I said she's like something out of Mean Girls. For one thing, I immediately get suspicious of girls who are naturally attractive and then wear THAT much make-up too (i.e. when they don't really need it). It hints straight away at falseness and an obsession with self-image. Put it this way: I don't think I've ever met someone with a very carefully constructed 'look' like that who also has a lot of integrity and is down to earth.
