i had traffic cops set to record then a schedule change was made , changing my recording to next week,

i have read a couple of things to say it was on tonight plus its show as available on the iplayer ???

Yours it not the only one. Mine also failed to record changing the record date to next weeks.

I think this was down to an EPG problem as it wasn't showing any 'info' data in the EPG.

Yep, happened to me too, fortunately, I was on BBC HD at the time and manually started it.

If it's any conciliation you didn't miss much.
Nothing compared to the last series. There wernt hardly any traffic offences in it.

Similar problem last night when the Tennis over ran,
box recorded what it hought was My Family and Miranda.
Does the EPG update all the time in order to catch changes ?

My box recorded Traffic Cops - I'm watching it now. Seems to be more about them helping other departments execute arrests than traffic offences though as another poster wrote. For what it's worth I recorded it from BBC One HD and I don't use Accurate Record.

Curiously though my box had an hour recorded that it claimed was Case Histories from yesterday but was actually Wimbledon. Given that I don't use AR I can't work that one out - Case Histories was never on Friday anyway. What seems even more odd is that in the schedule it's showing as 20/6 which is when it really was last on (which it recorded and I've viewed).

My recording of Traffic Cops failed again this week too.
It's shown in the Media list as it attempted to record, but when I go to playback it just says recording failed.

Again this was on the BBC1 HD channel, I think next week I'll just try it in the SD BBC1 channel.

That might be because it wasn't broadcast this week. The beeb swapped it for a one off special about the Milly Dowler case.

I only noticed it because I wanted to record something on another channel at the same time, intending to watch Traffic Cops live. Radio Times said it was on, EPG said something else entirely.

So just ended up watching what I was going to record anyway
