In the interests of a fair survey, I downloaded the top two, to have a listen because I'd not heard of them. Superman Lovers unfortunately for me was one of those songs that starts okay, then after hearing it numerous times it starts to get on your nerves.
Stop your crying is good, quite catchy, bit gruff in the voice for my liking though Mercury Rev - reminds me of someone, just can't put my finger on it!! I think Shaggy and RikRok deserved the record of the year IMO. |

Tukan - Light A Rainbow is a great song, but sadly only entered the charts at 38 yesterday, whilst crap like the Tweenies get into the top 10.

Wow My Vitriol Fans!
Didn't think anybody liked them, anyway my favourite songs of the year:
My Vitriol - Always Your Way ( i wish i could) Muse - Plug In baby (UK rock at it's best) Ash - Burn Baby Burn (just how good is free all angels?) Nelly Furtado - I'm Like A Bird (great song/artist) Sum41 - Fat Lip (my fave i think) Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long? (best pop song i've heard in ages-brillant) Overall, a good year in music, a wide range of styles. |
