Looking around I can find Poston's apprentices from
circa 1967: B Freeman, A Callaghan, Richard Hutchison, P Dennis and A Matthias.
I don't remember any of those. I was still wet behind the ears at that time and clearly didn't appreciate Poston's genius for training losers.
I do however remember two apprentices from the mid-1970s who rode Homefield regularly, namely Francis Curley and Harry Ballantine.
