Kent, Derek - trained several good horses in the 1970s the best of which was chaser Grand Canyon who, late in that decade, broke 5 course records in 5 consecutive races.

The percentage take of the overall bookmakers odds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics_of_bookmaking (personally I think they should declare odds based on the bet required to return 100 eg evens = 50 4 to 1 = 20 4/6 = 60 that way you would just add the odds to get the total overround. |
