Having trouble with 1899 service
Signed on to this 1899 service yesterday, tried to call this number in order to make a call -08081708708- but I get a automatic message saying that in order to prevent fraud they will need to verify my number and that as soon I cut the line they will ring back with instructions on how to do so... But when i put the phone down... No such ring back takes place. They say this will only happen once... But nothing! Not happy... Have just sent an email to them saying so.
![]() Has anyone else had problems dealing with these types of services? http://www.1899.com/index2.php P.s. Yes I know I posted this in the virgin media forum... but I thought I might get more immediate response from here also. |

I've never had that (but, as I have a BT line, I use the prefix, not the gateway number).
However, there has been a really long delay this morning before the tariff announcement is heard. Connection then follows as normal but I'd estimate a 25 second wait occurred a couple of times. |

Just used 1899 and it took around 10 seconds for the tariff message and another 30 for the ring tone to start.

18185''s back to normal now so I assume 1899 and 18866 are too.
