Hi Everyone, I need to ask you all a question please. I hope someone can help.

My husband wants to watch Tour de France on TV this year but we don't seem to be able to get ITV4. Does anyone know if we should be able to receive it? We have just moved house and we are still in Yorkshire but we switched from Sky to BT Vision. We got ITV4 through the Sky dish at our last house so I was wondering if it might be our aerial that's not up to it?

Can anyone help?

ITV4 is only available on Freeview/BT Vision if your aerial is pointed at one of the main transmitters within the Yorkshire 'region'.

Check Here and come back to see whether you are familiar with any of the transmitter names. If you recognise one of the 'relay' transmitters as the one you are pointed to/at, this means you are only getting the basic Freeview service (given the nickname 'Freeview Lite'), such as all the BBC channels and some of the +1 channels.

Are your neighbours' aerials all also pointed towards the same transmitter? If there's one that's 'different', there's a good chance he/she has the full Freview service, and I'd also recommend asking him/her as to how much it cost to make the change.
