Ipod classic volume limiter
super-saint
29-06-2011
Hi guys

Been in pocession of the 160gb classic for a number of years but am increasingly fed up with the low volume

Have volume set to max but still to low for my needs. Have found somewhere on internet that deleting a volumelocked file will make a difference ....well i dont have this file when i do a search on my PC (I have unhidden all files)

Any ideas on how to improve ?

What headphones are you using? I had this problem for a while but it was instantly solved by getting better (cxc300) headphones and setting the default volume for each track to maximum through itunes (right click track, get info, move volume slider).

The ones which come with the ipod are absolute rubbish, they leak more sound into the surrounding air than into your ears, as shown by many inconsiderate people on trains and buses.

My advice to you is to get Beats headphones, they're specifically desgined for I Pod's and the sound is absolutely brilliant, loud enough for me and perfect aswell

Don't get beats headphones, ridiculously overpriced for the performance. Headphones for people who are more worried about what they look like that what they sound like.

They also weren't designed for iPods, they were designed for listening to music

Sennheissers are where you are going to hit the best budget/performance.

Hd25 sp2's are amazing

Actually I didn't buy mine for what they looked like, my friend recommended them to me because she said the sound was perfect and she was right. So don't say that

They are hardly going to call them a rip off are they? They would fire the marketing team if they did. I never said they were rubbish, I said they were overpriced.
