I remember being very impressed when some older kids mimed to Showaddywaddy's 'Under the Moon of Love' at school when I was about 8.

I enjoyed all sorts of pop music in the mid to late 70s and got very into the whole 2-Tone thing when I was 12. Cropped all my hair off to my mum's horror!

Well I enjoyed Take That, but not as much as my sister. (saw them yesterday ) But my first band I got properly into - S Club 7!!! Glad I'm not the only one here who liked them!

Now I listen to music like 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park.etc!

When i was very young i used to sit listening to The Beatles all day and night with my incredibly large headphones on. I loved them.

As a younger teen Good Charlotte were my favorite band and i was into Blink, The Offspring etc too.

Then as an older teen/young adult i moved onto different genres of dance music, some known, some less known.

Now i just like everything and mainly listen to what's in the charts and on the radio.

Elton John, Abba, Bananarama (WTF??...) And then when I was about 16 I started listening to classical music and never looked back. 20-odd years later I've very rarely found the need to listen to anything else.

The Shadows in 1960. I was 7 and my Dad bought 'Apache'. It was the first song I remember really liking and wanting to hear over and over again. I've loved most genres of electric guitar based music ever since.

It all began with Britney for me. I loved all the big divas though. Mariah, Whitney, Celine, Madonna. A tiny bit of Cher as well.

But on the cheesy side, i also liked S Club, Spice girls and a love hate relationship with Steps as well as adoring Westlife for their first 4 albums.

I grew up with Simon and Garfunkle, The Beach Boys and The Beatles. We lived abroad and it was all a bit retro.

Coming back to the UK I discover Kate Bush and The Velvet Underground.

Kylie Minogue was my first love at the tender age of five. First album I ever bought was her debut album, on cassette tape.

When I was in secondary school and made the transition from cassettes to CDs, the first one I purchased was Eternal's Greatest Hits from Boots.

I've always gone for pop.

I used to watch Top of the Pops and listen to the radio and quite liked Glam when I was young, but the first group I got into and started buying the albums and singles of were Judas Priest and I still listen to their stuff today.

I have been a Cliff fan forever-I was allowed to stay up and watch Eurovision in 1968 when I was nearly 4 and I cried when he lost. I still have a scrap book with lots of pictures of him, mainly from the Jackie magazine (an older cousin used to give me them). Have been to loads of concerts since I was 16 and although I like many other singers/groups, Cliff is my 'original'

Boyzone and Frankie Goes To Hollywood were my first albums I think.
Boyzone because I loved Stephen Gately and Frankie 'cos I heard Relax on an advert and thought it was amazing.
Of course my wee innocent nine year old self had no idea of the filth I was listening to. (This applies to both Frankie and Boyzone)

Then when I was eleven a band called Prodigy hit number one with a little ditty called Firestarter and the course of my music collection changed forever.

My mum taped all the spice girls' music videos and then I watched them for quite a while. Then Avril Lavigne became my favourite singer, and I got her album 'Let Go' for my bday and listened to it almost every day. I also liked Blue, and Shania Twain. My bro listened to The Red Hot Chili Peppers often, so I got into them too. I remember dancing to S Club songs when I was in primary school but I didn't have any of their albums.. I bought Stacie Orrico's album and loved it too.. I loved Busted and listened to their songs regularly and still know most of them by heart but I didn't realise the sexual lyrics..
