What do you all think about musical comedians?
Tell me what you think about music being used by comedians in their acts. I am eager to hear what you all think. Some of the most well known ones are BO BURNHAM and TIM MINCHIN.
I personally think that the music done by comedians can be quite clever and fantastic if done properly. |

I've never heard of Bo Burnham (though that song was retty good) but I LOVE Tim Minchin. He's very clever. His songs are not only clever/funny lyrically, but the melodies are great too.

I firmly believe that Tim Minchin is the most talented comedian working today. I love the guy and have seen him perform live, with an orchestra. Hilarious but thought provoking songs and comedy, fantastic songwriter and brilliant pianist.

Most of the Mighty Boosh music is pretty amazing. Tundra, Sea Funk, Nanageddon are my personal faves tho.

Tim Minchin and The Mighty Boosh are brilliant, that goes without saying.
I love Corky and the Juice Pigs too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1JzrDWt8dE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXvCltvC3fU |

Although they may be interesting, clever and funny I would never listen to them like I do other music.

Tim Minchin is an absolute genius, I love him. He's like a singing Russel Brand, but funnier than Aldous.
![]() Weird Al Yankovic has been hit'n'miss over the years, but his parodies are mostly top-notch, and I think his new track, Polka Face, is fantastic. Pop Music remade as Polka is just so WEIRD! ![]() The Lonely Island from SNL have got the Hip-Hop parody down perfectly. I'M ON A BOAT MOTHERFOCKER! ![]() They're my three current favourites. Honourable mentions go to The Mighty Boosh and Flight Of The Conchords.

I find them to be in the majority, embarrassingly bad. I like Tim Minchin tho, and when Bill Bailey plays rather than sings.

Bo Burnham doesnt really ring any bells, but that is mainly because it looks like Bo is famous in the United States. Tim Minchin on the other hand is quite the clever beast!
