The OP is offering real-life anecdotal evidence to support Melody's perceived onscreen persona. Equally the OP could have told an opposite story to contradict the onscreen persona.

The OP is merely sharing a private experience, not necessarily passing final judgment on Melody. That would be Himself's prerogative within 3 weeks. "Melody will stand on anybody to get what she wants, and I love it," said Lord Sugar in apparent smiling approval, or words to that effect. ”

She may be easy on the eye, but that's no reason for people to think that she is somehow infallible.

I'm sure a lot of us got it.

I thought your OP was perfectly reasonable for the reasons SoulMate61 suggests.

This is the only show I watch on television right now and in truth Melody is full of herself.

She has no idea with regards to business strategy, you will see her tonight struggling, she has only got this far because she ploughs her way through the other weakest links, but feel her time on the show is coming to a end, so maybe she might get the email reply you seek, scoff scoff!

Thanks Jepson... These business coaches who talk about good e-mail etiquette really have an uphill struggle on their hands.

Surely that would be her PA's oversight, not hers...

I don't exactly understand how she is "full of herself"? What does that mean?

She has no idea with regards to business strategy- Why did she make it this far? The BBC must have done a bad job selecting contestants. If Melody is weak- what does that make Tom and Jim (to name two).

It means that her mind is so full of her own thoughts and opinions - even when these are absurd or incompetent analyses, that she cannot work cooperatively with others.

That much is true.

One issue is that some of us get quite a lot of spam in the form of job offers. I do, and I delete it all without replying. It's best not to enter into a dialogue with spammers. Any sort of reply will confirm the email address is valid and still active, increasing its value to other spammers.

Really, if you are trying to get in touch with someone, sending them an unsolicited email is unreliable. Almost anything else is better - phone call, or paper mail.

Agreed, no point replying to agencies which blindly without research send out a "job offer" to 100 candidates listed after a crude filtering of their candidates database. The agency sender would not even realise they never received one particular reply to their mailshot.

In this case it appears to be a one-to-one offer. The OP may achieve more effect if the story was about the Dalai Lama emailing Melody who completely ignored him. I think the OP's point is that Melody might be one who treats you differently depending on your wealth and position, and ruthlessly according to what she will get out of you?

Would Melody ignore a job offer email from the Sugar Lord?

How do you how her minds work? Evidence? She seems to work well in a group as far as I can see. I am not sure what you are talking about.

Nice bit of selective quoting there.

Really? Everyone has their favourites but anyone with a shred of objectivity would see that's not the case.

Not sure a lack of response via email says anything about a person's personality tbh.

It's certainly made me more worried about forgetting to reply to (or ignoring) some random stranger's email in future. What precious snowflakes we have on this forum!

SAS appears to like her, maybe he is saving her for the interviews as he did Stuart. or she will go tonight.

Pretty sure she's toast now. AS can't fire Helen, obviously, and seems determined not to fire Tom. So...

She "set up one of the most succesful democratic bodies in the world" at 13? Did I hear that right? What's she on about?

Yes I get it too (and I also read all my emails and reply to those that need a response)
If you run your own business and you get an email from someone offering work in the same field, then if nothing else you should reply to decline the offer, but keep the lines of communication open. Networking is important.

It's The Apprentice, not Big Brother (although the declining standard of candidates does seem to be pushing it more in that direction each year). You can't back a candidate just because you fancy them.

Yes I cracked up at that. No clue what she's on about or what she thinks she set up at the age of 13!
