I do, it was a great song, back in the day when MTV played music and not everyone had Sky TV so whilst the Britpop scene was taking over I was into more European stuff thanks to the Braun Chart!

Wonderful song, that is assuming people are talking about the scorpions and not some pop song that has the same name.

I must admit, as a Scorpions fan going right back to the late 1970s I've never liked this song!

Whenever I hear Wind Of Change on the radio I have to counterbalance it and play Tokyo Tapes & Lovedrive to remind myself that they were once a great band! |

Agreed. If you were a fan of the Scorps, you would undoubtly hate this..I mean what the hell was Klaus Meine thinking of when he decided to do the whistling??

Rock bands dont have to let rip with every song to be looked upon as great. Like it or not its one of the scorpions most famous songs and of course a person needs to understand the meaning of the song and why Klaus wrote it to truly appreciate it. And its the 10th best-selling single of all time in Germany |

It's alright, but nowhere near as good as some of their other material.

You've put up a pretty good argument there, but still doesn't convince me, still think it's dreadful! and of course I understand rock bands don't have to 'let rip' in all their ballads there are plenty of excellent examples of that. I also undeerstand teh sentiment of the song but I also agree with Glawster2002 in that it's not even their best ballad. 'Holiday' is better than Wind Of Cheese. Sorry.. 'Change' lol
Its a matter of opinion, regardless of its meaning I still think its a great anthem sort of song. Of course I love all their material, both with Michael and with Rudolph as well, as guitar players the schenkers were out of this world. And talking of good rock bands, the UK's UFO are often overlooked, some of michaels best work was with UFO. |

I just came across this thread while searching for another one. Anyway..
I adore "Wind of change" I think its a great track for the autumn / late summer. However I will admit to not knowing of Scorpions other hits. Anyone care to link me up to 3 of their best hits? |
