Chicken Curry
I'll admit I've never cooked this before and I was looking to know if anyone had any nice recipes?
Obviously I could have checked google, but the curries some of you people make look beautiful and I thought I'd ask for your recipe. Thanks very much. I was thinking of going with rice and chips the first time and try that out, but if anyone has any other suggestions then just say please. |

Curry is such a broad term, do you mean indian(north or south)? Thai? Chinese? Hot? Mild? I think you need to be a bit more specific.

You can knock up a simple curry with the usual store cupboard suspects
Fry onions (& peppers and/or chillies) Add in a tsp or two of garlic & ginger (can get pureed garlic & ginger paste or seperate or use fresh). Add 1/4tsp ground tumeric, corriander 1/2tsp ground cumin, chicken stock powder, chilli powder add a squirt of tomato puree (optional) then add tinned tomatoes (200g) or passata Cook for 10 mins. Add chicken (raw or cooked & shredded) if using coconut milk add now other wise just cook till raw chicken is cooked. If not using coconut milk then add a bit of cream or yoghurt. It's a recipe to play around with. There are plenty of other herbs, spices & condiments that you can add a dash of to get it right for you. |
