What do you prefer on your sarnies?

Just made myself a BTL and didn't think twice about using olive spread and mayo. I think you need mayo on a BLT.
I wouldn't usually have it on a ham sarnie though. Salad cream on that. |

Always mayo for me. Although I do have some other stuff in addition depending on the filling, like mustard with ham or brown sauce with corned beef.

Depends on the sarnie. Chicken salad always mayo. BLT mayo, ploughmans pickle. Fried egg/bacon tomato sauce. Sausage tomato sauce. But always have marg on the bread.

Has to be butter or spread on my sandwiches. I will have mayo if it is mixed in with something like tuna but not actually having it on my sandwich.

Interesting question.
If it's smoked salmon, then butter. If it's tuna then mayo. (And sometimes butter too )One thing I am not a fan of is sliced cheese sandwiches with mayo. They seem to go all slidy and horrible like greasy plate tectonics of the mouth. As an additional thought, I love good bread with butter, so I guess I could effectively enjoy a butter sandwich. I can't say the same of mayo, however tasty. I guess they're filed in different places in my brain!

I've always been so lazy that I've never used anything on sandwiches, just put whatever filling I wanted in it, like ham and away I go! I don't understand the point in it, it doesn't do anything, butter I mean?
